It's a shame that a better system of inventory was not in place. I wouldn't doubt if some of it was an inside job. It's a little late to close the barn doors after the horses have got out!! Doc
MADRID, Spain - The government Friday approved a divisive bill allowing reparations for victims of the Spanish civil war and the ensuing dictatorship of Gen. jimzammit, No the Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals has not been updated. The new book is ECHOS OF WAR: RESEARCHING SOVIET MILITARY AWARDS By Paul Schmitt. It's an excellent book and compliments the Comprehensive Guide very well. I would HIGHLY recommend it!!! Doc
Pat, It's a Cross for a combatant. the next-of-Kin has no swords. As for the document, I can't read German and have little experience with German documents. You do have a very nice court mount EK and Hindenberg Cross and the Combatant and Non-Combatant Cross. All you need now is a next-of-kin. Doc
Dave, You know that you have me droolin' all over my computer I WILL have one by next year!!! No matter the cost; Arm, Leg, a niece or nephew or two, etc. Doc
Rick, The buttons are WW2 period ones hollow, 2 piece, with gilt steel tops and on the black painted reverses... nothing. As for the wound stripe it is too long. Another forum member confirmed that. What length should it be? It was added at purchase. Best, Doc
