Hi.. I would say its a german patriotic medal. As first is mentioned germen emperor and after him FJI, also on the reverse side is in the middle german soldier (see pickelhaube on his head) holding german (prussian eagle) flag. Geg. is for "gegen" - against and u.s.w. could be "und so weiter" - etc. Ribbon is in austro-hungarian trifold style, colours like for Leopoldsorden or "court jubilee cross 1908"... But I dont think its original ribbon for this medal.. -
Colleagues! Help needed... We need so much photos as possible of interesting variants ( medals and also miniatures) of austro-hungarian wound medal for an article in czech phaleristic journal SIGNUM. Please help us to find uncommon variants! thanks.. Ivan - Iver

military jubilee cross - all active officers, who served in military, marine and "landwehr" formations, military priests and "landwehr" officials, bandmasters of military music formations, marine cadets, cadets of ground units and on their level placed persons and military "salarists" (I hope it is a good word for someone, who becomes salary - regular income) who served in armed forces or gendarmerie. Also non-active officers and landwehr officials and priests, who served in the time of 2.12.1848-2.12.1908 as active oficers in the mentioned formations. Also those NCO and men, who had in the time of jubileum already at least 2 years served in active duty or absloved in the mentioned time "military training". from 31.12.1914 was MJC1908 awarded also to those, who were to the date 2.12.1908 not officers, but in the time of war they were made officers and the right on the cross became also reserve cadets - aspirants and one year volunteers - veterinary doctors, pharmacists and those who were enlisted in special services. jubilee cross for civic state employees - all persons, who in the time of foundation of the cross worked active in the civic state service or on the level placed public function, those, who proved they worked so for 10 years or proved they ended they service at least one year before foundation of the cross. also persons, who worked in active state service and proved at least 3 years service and to those state and manor employees who proved at least 3 years of service and reached age of 21. laso those persons, who worked as civic employees of military formations.... ...there are many more variations of case for JK 1908. they variate in used materials (from luxury cases to simple cardboard boxes), form ("oval" like U have or angular), colour (red, brown, black) and they have various "drawings" on the upper side (state emblem - A-H two headed eagle with coat of arms on his chest, state emblem and years 1848-1908, only those years, with inscription "Jubiläums Kreuz" and with/or without years 1848-1908).. ...but as a set it is not so often to see, and its a very nice... congratulations... PS: there was a military jubilee cross sold on ebay for cca 3 weeks (cross and case like U have) and was sold for cca 152€.. unfortunatly i have missed the time of end of auction and forgot to bid... :banger:

Austria-Hungary Austrian Ww1 period ribbon bar
Iver replied to Kev in Deva's topic in Austro-Hungarian Empire
swords on "bravery medal" ribbon could be only for "signum laudis" or wreath for MVK... ... but there was no device on the KTK ribbon... only a miniature of the award... that could be on the bravery medal ribbon so as on KTK... -
..thanks for informations :)

Hi.. I need help with identification of this badge.... thanks.... Iver PS: ...sorry for those bad photos...
-
Elmar: ..he died in february 1919, so I don´t think he was awarded austrian republic decoration...
-
..he has no other austro-hungarian order on the photo, so i think its the same - only here- Grand Star of Austria is written which class of Order of the Iron Crown with War Wreath he was awarded..
-
...Its (on the photo from book) the star on his chest - left side, the first under the medal bar - under the last medal... Its Order of Iron crown (EKO) I.class - star with war decoration...
-
...I don´t think that on those photos is the same man... only one was "vitez" (like the man on the photo in the coat of order of St. George), but that man was born only in 1917 and could not have so many A-H decorations ...and the last one has many titles, but some of them are really strange :speechless:
-
Noor: yes, the swords seems to be "german style"... but the ribbon is surely the end of WWI.... as faras i know, the "ribbon bars" in this form were estabilished only in 1917 under the rule of JCV ("his emperor´s higness") Karl I. in 1917 (Měřička)...

Austria-Hungary Bronze ''Signum Laudis'' and his former owner
Iver replied to bovec1313's topic in Austro-Hungarian Empire
I agree with Hunyadi, the box is "Emperor Karl" style, also the date on the paper - I see there december 1917, it looks like originally there was emperors Karl edition of "Signum Laudis"....
