Looks like a Jeton rather than an official St Anne order. I've seen items like this but I think concidered unofficial or post 1917. Your shown example is different because of the Imperial crown on top. In Imperial russian the crown could only be added to official Czar approved jetons. George

The Assayer is different that the Maker of a piece. The assayer mark is usually within the kokoshnik, and refers to the gold or silver content. George

Alexander Kordes, St Petersburg 1839-74. As far as I can find in reference He made NO orders. Albert Keibel started in his fathers businerss and didnt take over until his death in 1874. SS orders can also be dated in the differences of apperance. Early orders had differenc style eagles and enamel. George

Heres the Ship My Grandmother and Father imigrated to the US in 1940. NYK Line Asama Maru. My Grandfather came a year later (1941) on the Tatsuta maru her sister ship. Both were th NYK lines pride of the seas in there hayday. Grandfather always recalled his approach to the Golden Gate. There was several Japanese liners and the Tatsuta Maru was the Last Japanese ship let into the bay. The ship stayed back as they could see passengers on the later ships jumping overboard. My newest EBay purchase. Nice photo portrait of President Von Hindenburg with detication to a Josef Deicker, Morbach. I cant read the German script. Its hand done with an original late Hindenberg Signature. Hindenberg and his wief were removed from there cript at Tannenberg by the nazi's before the Russian overran and destroyed Tannenberg. The two coffens were later found by U.S. GI's in a salt mine. These were again later inturned in a church in Morbach. A city Hindenberg was an honorary citizen. George

Depending on time period. Could be Cross of Valor of General Bulak-Balakhovitch Russian civil war period. George

Good question. Seems like the first class medal Alex. II period came in two sizes. 50MM and 28MM. The larger was worn around the neck and the smaller with bow on a medal bar. 2nd through 4th on medal bar 2nd gold. 3rd and 4th silver. During Czar Nickolas II all were 28MM and worn on medal bars. Same with the later issues. sizes vary 28/30mm. George

I'd like a scan of the reverse and size of the eagle. If its small. It could be for a Field marshal shoulder board. George

Hi Eric, These medals were called the St George Medal for Bravery. Awarded in four Classes. First founded be Alexander II. First and second class were of Gold 3rd and 4th of silver. Later issued in white medal and Yellow medal, Just as the St george's cross were during the war. All classed used the St george Ribbon. The bravery medals with St george slaying the dragon were issued by the Provisional and Whites after the fall of the Romamov rule. I hope this helps alittle. George

The Amur land Congress. This is one of the LAST medals awarded to the members of the land congress who were supporters of the White cause. George
