    1. And it did Second round http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Japanese-1874-War-Medal-Samurai-attack-on-Taiwan-/321279154304?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4acdbad880
    2. It is the combination To be more precise the combination of 4th class orders with medals from early 30s +
    3. The hangar? Well, it was made in aluminum/aluminum alloy
    4. Well, it's not the condition of medals in the bar (they all came from 30s) that I am worried about
    5. Hey guys, what do you think about this bar?
    6. In a nutshell main causes of defeat in Soviet/Russian historiography "antediluvian overladen ships with fatigue and poorly trained gun crews + bad tactics" But I think true causes were "terrible tactic + terrible ammunition (problems with fuses + problems with explosiveness)"
    7. Some guys say that this 2311 was issued in 1985 as a replacement for 2nd 3rd class. Seller ordered "probivka" .... Let`s wait
    8. Photos + detailed chronology of the battle http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/45833-chemulpo-1904-medal/page-2
    9. Miniature of Medal "For Distinction in the Protection of Public Order" made by Moscow mint (ММД) Nice quality
    10. Miniature of Medal "For Life Saving" made by Moscow mint (ММД)
    11. This one was made by Leningrad Mint somewhere between 1951 and 1955
    12. Yes, these are definitely not cheap. Even official (i.e. mint shop) prices vary between $65 (Medal For Merit to the Fatherland 2nd class without swords) and $280 (Order For Merit to the Fatherland without swords)!
    13. Check out comments to this clip! Deep historiographical analysis
    14. It looks like like unofficial mini of victory medal in post #41 could be made by the same "manufacturer" as minis in post #60. I don't know about soviet minis, bit unauthorized manufacturing of modern russian minis can be classified as counterfeiting of official awards. P.S. Current market prices for official minis vary between $130 and $160 per piece.
    15. As per today there are only three officially authorized manufacturers of minis (of medals and orders) in Russia a) MMD b) SpMD c) "Symbol of Capital" company As for the process of buying official minis - see post #53 and post #1. Quality of pieces in post #60 is simply terrible (even for "Symbol of Capital" company) ...
    16. Naaaa It wasn't me. How many Showa breast stars one dude really needs?
