Hi Bill, the author of bas-relif is soviet sculptor N.Sokolov As far as I remember originally this medallion was minted by ЛДМ (Leningrad Mint). Your medallion is made by this "Знар" manufacturer after ЛДМ piece (most likely as modern souvenir). Cheers, Nick -
