    1. Check this out guys! Another 4th class ... This one from the early vintage
    2. It surfaced in Japan a couple of years ago and since then I've been tracking it... Deerslayer style ... Patiently waiting ... for an opportunity to go on the verge of bankruptcy
    3. Thank you very much for translation Pieter!
    4. Rich, the maximum amount that you can add to your current uploading capacity is only 50kb. The only way to do it quick is to buy Golden Subscription. BTW, Super cool early 1st Class!
    5. A little correction The maximum file size for Rich's current membership (silver) per image is 250kb. http://gmic.co.uk/web/membership.htm
    6. Hi Rich, here you'll find a thread devoted to resizing of the pictures http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/18286-photo-resizing-help/ Alternatively - you can send original pictures to me and I'll post them in this thread (as soon as lay my hands on stationary comp.) Cheers, Nick P.S. On second thought - send me originals anyway
    7. Post become "frozen" (uneditable) in the next 24 hours after posting. So the only way to expand this thread will be adding new posts.
    8. Actually, the breast star that was shown in the first post of this thread is exactly the same breast star that we observe at Li Gongqing's website Cheers, Nick
    9. Yes, I thought about this possibility too! Indeed!
    10. Undoubtedly! So 大 could stands not for Osaka Mint, but for private firm 大橋 - Ohashi. The only problem that I see Rich - if they manufactured rosettes for red cross, then they simultaneously manufactured medals and orders (we find this mark on them also ). Is it possible? Hmmm... I guess...
    11. Hi Rich, very interesting! 大 is the first character in the city name Osaka and lately I thought this mark could be used (in 10s and 20s) by Osaka Mint. And mark ヒ during same could be used by Hiroshima Mint. We meet both marks on 1914-1915 medals I wonder if Ohashi 大橋 could be a subcontractor firm for Osaka Mint during these days. What do you think? Cheers, Nick
    12. Thank you dear Mark! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
    13. Hi Gavin! Guys in modelling really dig stuff like that Me too This condition is quite unique Thanks man and a Happy New Year!
    14. Another Muscovite in japanese section! At last! Welcome to GMIC Roman! Glad you liked this little star guys
    15. P.P.S. The only papers that was selling simultaneously with the breast star (a couple of years ago). Any help with translation will be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Nick
    16. P.S. Time Magazine Monday, Oct. 26, 1942 World Battlefronts: Japan's Heroes Japan awarded its highest military decoration - the Order of the Golden Kite - to 955 officers and men for feats in the Pacific, to 3,031 more who had fought in China. The list included such ranking officers as Vice Admiral Yukichi Yashire, Rear Admirals Yukio Kato and Toshio Otake, Major Generals Chikegi Usui and Tateo Kato. The interesting thing was not that Japan had so many heroes, but that the heroes were dead when they received the Order of the Golden Kite.
