    1. Ken, this is a photo of Major of the Border Troops Ts. Dovdoi. Yes. Cheers, Nick
    2. Indeed these are very scare. The only photo example that I can remember is soviet ace Pokryshkin (very strange award for an ace especially in light of the original criteria "for exceptionally meritous service to the US Government in a duty of great responsibility") http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/54851-soviet-ace-of-aces-pokryshkin-and-his-awards/ Looks like Legion of merit was the most common award for senior soviet officers. Regards, Nick
    3. Many of these groups were sold in Russia and Ukraine in the last three or four years. Good thing I gave myself the trouble to save these pictures Regards, Nick
    4. Glad you liked it! Hmmm... I wonder what you'll say Paul if I tell you that the asking price was $3300 Cheers, Nick
    5. Now very interesting group with bronze star (unfortunately I don`t have any photos of docs, with the exception of record card entry about american award)
    6. I don`t have any info regarding the numbers of American awards that was issued to Red Army men. The most common american medals that were awarded to Soviets were Legion of Merit Bronze star Distinguished Service Medal As for some special paper slip or complimentary card ... Personally I`ve never seen them... Thats how the Awarding Order will look like (in this case group of soviet officers was awardede with Legion of Merit Medals)
