Dear gentlemen i proudly announce that this bar is now completed. It took some time because it wasn't that easy to find an wurttember silver merit cross with swords for a reasonable price. haynau
The reverse is in german and czechoslovakian and reads: Zur Erinnerung a.d. Kaiserman?ver bei Gr. Meseritsch in M?hren 1909 Commeorating the Emperors-Maneuver near Gro? Meseritsch in Moravia 1909. This austrian-hungarian Maneuver took place from 8-10th September 1909 haynau
@alex k the center pic explains everything. the cross is from the Ehrenbund deutscher Weltkriegsteilnehmer e.V. e.V. stands for eingetragener Verein = registrated association a german veterans-organisation post 1918 if the cross was given for merit or just membership i don't know regards haynau
It means that the person was awarded the IC2 twice. The first time in WWI and the 2nd time for deeds in WWII haynau previtera states in his book iron time that 450.000 (?) Spangen for the IC2 were awarded during WWII. i hope this is correct. i have the book at home and can't check it up now. haynau
Gentleman please calm down. it's just medals. sascha, I HAD, i recently sold my complete small mvk-collection with a little tear in my eyes BTW i was never an expert mit mvk's like others you mentioned only an interested apprentice haynau
Hi Kev, what franken75 means is that by original issued pieces the small gap between beltbuckle and belt arround the center medaillon has been NEVER enameled. have a look at your second calss pieces. that is what i have been told by experienced collectors. franken75 correct me if that is wrong. regards haynau
Dear Gentlemen, A collectors friend bought his victorian leather pouch. There are no hallmarks on the pouch. He asked if i knew it. i looked in some old spink catalogues but i'am not sure. I guess it is an Cavalry Officers pouch with Cypher VR for Queen Victoria. Is this correct? haynau
Ask Sascha here in the GMIC, he bought his on ebay a couple of months ago for arround 150 euro as far as i remember. but as is stated i'am no IC-Expert. what is the correct price in your opinion? haynau BTW you can pay 770 euro aswell ebay
I'am no IC-Expert, though i have previteras book, but the case (box) seems to be good aswell. i hope you can get this beautifull set. what is the dealers price 450, or 500 Euro? haynau
IMHO The Cross itself: 200 to 250 Euro and 100 to 150 Euro for the box (it would be neccessary to see pics from the upper side of the box) I think all together 300 to 400 euro. that is not the price i would pay, but I'am afraid that is the price the market would pay. maybe even a little bit more. haynau
Christlich Deutsche Turnerschaft ?sterreichs = Christian German Gymnasts of Austria the cross on the badge badge ist formed by 4 x the letter F for 'frisch, fromm, fr?hlich, frei' the motto of the German Turnerbund seems to be am Members Badge haynau
