    1. 5) award-document for the silver merit medal of the ?Leopoldorden? date: August, 30th 1911 signed by: (Eduard) Pustekuchen (Geheimer Regierungsrat Detmold, highly decorated) Ah...only 2 weeks later he got his Detmold-award....now he was political correct decorated By the way...there were 331 awards of this medal...
    2. 4) award-document for the silver merit medal Schaumburg-Lippe date: August, 17th 1911 signed by: Freiherr von Feilitzsch I don?t show the statutes and envelope for these documents, if needed I can also do. But...what is this??? Do you remember? He was born in Detmold, but he got an award from Schaumburg-Lippe (almost an political enemy of Lippe-Detmold) before he got something from Lippe-Detmold!
    3. 3) Bestallung ?Bezirksfeldwebel? date: August, 4th 1911 signed by: Generalmajor Wagner (?)
    4. 2) Ribbon-bar with Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 War merit cross 2nd class 1939 with swords Hanseatic cross Hamburg Lippe-Detmold war merit cross (combatants-ribbon) Schaumburg-Lippe silver merit medal (watch for the ribbon!!!! ) Hindenburg-cross 2 x Medal for long service WW 2 (The eagles are missing) The ribbon for the Leopold-Order is missing, because he wasn?t allowed to wear it without the medal (->statutes). But there is al litte mistake...the tailor put the wrong ribbon for the Schaumburg-Lippe merit medal on it (he mounted the Lippe-Detmold merit medal ribbon ).
    5. Hello Gentlemen, I just got a new highlight, maybe some of you saw it on Ebay, divided into single auctions ?I bought the complete group, to keep it together: The owner was Friedrich August Christian Heinrich Sch?fer, Bezirksfeldwebel by the Bezirkskomando M?nster born in Detmold on February, 20th of 1885 1) his medalbar with Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 Lippe-Detmold war merit cross (combatants-ribbon) Hanseatic cross Hamburg Hindenburg-cross Medal for long service 2nd class for 12 years (repaired) Medal for Long service 3th class for 9 years Lippe-Detmold silver merit medal of the Leopold-Order Schaumburg-Lippe silver merit medal
    6. I also saw this criminal...really a shame! Now he probabely will get less money, also because everybody can see that he destroyed a medalbar! Solomon
    7. Yes, there are some awards, shown in Schwark?s book, which are lying in the archive (for example LDH1= Grosskreuz ). But I don?t think these awards were the returned ones... And there is the medalbar from Eduard Pustekuchen, maybe his estate were given to the archive, when he died. This isn?t uncommon. I never asked to look at these stored awards, I don?t know if you need a permission for that, but I?ll try it in the future Solomon
    8. Really fantastic work! By the way...you showed a nice example: There is a Eduard Pustekuchen (funny name in german), Geheimer Oberregierungsrat. His medalbar (but without RAO III ?) can be found in the archive of Detmold Reiner Schwark showed a photo of it in his Lippe-book. There are the following awards on it: Golden merit cross with swords on ribbon Lippe-Detmold Cross for war aid Prussia War merit cross on NC-ribbon Lippe-Detmold Albrecht-order Saxony Medal for 1870/71 with clasp "Metz" Prussia Centenar-medal Prussia 1897-medal Lippe-Detmold 1905-medal Lippe-Detmold Really a nice looking and impressive bar...I should ask, if I?m allowed to hold it in my hands... Greetings Solomon
    9. Hmm, that?s interesting! I did a little cross-check when I looked through the award-rolls of the LDH4 with X (bothe types A and B) and marked on the list of the 1905-medal possible persons. I didn?t complete this cross-check but I found two persons: The first one, you already mentioned, was Freiherr von F?rstenberg. Because of his many other awards from Lippe you can exclude him for sure. The princes I didn?t found, because I hadn?t much time. I marked another man on my list and now I have to check him again: It?s No. 145 of the 1905-medal-list: Heinrich Sievert, Ministerialregistrator (I marked him not clearly , but I?m quite sure it?isn?t No. 144) Can you look through the copies of your lists again and check if I mistaked? Greetings Solomon
    10. Ah okay...but i there is something you can?t read...please ask...I?ll try to help you if possible. Solomon
    11. My avatar is the Lippe-Detmold Lippische Rose 2nd class with oakleaves for art and science The order from Schaumburg-Lippe 2nd class I showed here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6602 And my avatar I showed here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5497 Greetings Solomon
    12. I can add something not mentioned. I didn?t type it yet, but if there are questions, it?s no problem: Rolls for Schaumburg-Lippe Order for art and science 1st and 2nd class Something very special and the lists are not as nice as the Detmold-rolls are....Rick knows what I mean. Greetings Solomon
    13. A nice example from Schaumburg...congratulation! I wish I had a twin from Lippe-Detmold....the merit crosses are very nice (I mean both: Schaumburg AND Lippe) Greetings Solomon
    14. And this roll doesn?t exist There are only the signed receipts...only about 1100 papers with terrible handwriting. But there is another possibility, much easier to do: ...finding the signed receipt of the golden merit medal, where both listed their other awards... A job, which I?ll have to do when I?ll go to Detmold again Greetings Solomon
    15. Hehe...I won! And Rick has to clean his glasses. The man is: Kurt August Karl B?hmer, born December, 13th in 1889 in Detmold. He got the following awards (and I have to correct myself): IC 2nd class 1914 LDH4 B with swords (on November, 10th in 1918 / No. 195 (?)) LD war merit cross LD merit cross for heroic deeds Turkish Gallipoli star Bulgaria merit cross 5. class with swords The missing ribbon might be after 1933. He was Leutenant der Reserve in 1919. I have his signed receipt in copy...there is no doubt! Greetings Solomon
    16. And the winner is......... Oh noooo..... There are two possible winners: 1) Paul Goschin, F?rstlicher Leibj?ger in Detmold 2) Heinrich Hildebrand, K?chenkalefaktor Both got the 1905-medal I?ll scan the list of the recipients for Rick, so he is able to make a cross-check. Sorry, there is still no ID possible... Greetings Solomon
    17. The cross on Ebay is a poor fake...be aware! The seller is Wilfried Freitag from Bad Driburg...some of you may know him. It is not the first Heldentat-cross he sold in the past few month. Niemann?s crosses look better, but they don?t match with the awarded ones from Zimmermann, Pforzheim. I?m very unsure with both crosses Greetings Solomon
    18. Well done....but...next week I?ll visit the archive and I?ll try to make you some more work with Lippe-Detmold rolls. The list of the recipients of the 1905-medal is still missing and waits to be written again from you Greetings Solomon
    19. Here is the interesting detail from the signed receipt of the golden merit medal of the Leopold Order from Max Glocksin (No. 66). He awarded the medal on Novemebr, 11th 1918 and got the fitting document together with the statutes on October, 16th of 1919. The Lippe-Detmold documents are so rare, because I?m buying everything I?ll get I just bought two days ago a nice award document for the war merit cross incl. the paper-role in which it was sent to the recipient Greetings Solomon
    20. Very nice picture... This one (General von Francois) maybe didn?t risk his own life Greetings Solomon
    21. Hi Greg, what do you want to know about this nice pinback-cross? Here you can find some information: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7563 Indeed, it was high bravery decoration...the heroic deed had to be described very well and the soldier had to risk his own life. It?s a bit more difficult, but for the time of the WW1, you may say it was the highest bravery award Lippe spent. Greetings Solomon
    22. Do you mean the military merit medal, which is missing??? It?s absolute correct that this medal isn?t any longer at this medalbar The former owner awarded the war merit cross Lippe-Detmold...and he had to return this medal! (I know, many didn?t do that...but he did, as the statutes told him). The medal is also mounted at the correct place...before the silver merit medal and after the golden. So everything is fine Greetings Solomon
    23. Tztz, I didn?t teach you well in awards of Lippe-Detmold... At the medalbar, I mentioned, there you can find also the military merit medal (with swords, also on the ribbon) and the golden merit medal (awarded in November 1918!!!). Sure, it is a war time bar, but the former owner might be a "Lakai", who served at the front and at the court of the Prince... for example as a forrest worker ("Forstaufseher" = the possible owner of the bar I described) or as a hunter ("Leibj?ger"). P.S. Please remember the date of the award: November, 11th of 1918... It?s the date of the resignation/abdication of the prince of Lippe-Detmold. Greetings Solomon
