Thanks @Dond: Nice cross, looks like Zimmermann?s work (needle-system and finish). But it isn?t convex, is it? I?ve never seen a non-convex cross before?! Here is some more new stuff It?s a entry in the military pass from "August Kramer" who got this cross for heroic deeds on 15th May 1918 for risking his life in a fight near Flandern. He also got the iron cross 2nd class 1914 on 22th August 1917 and the war merit cross Lippe-Detmold on 22th December 1917. He was also wounded but there is no entry for the (black) wound badge... The entries:

Hi David, one very important information: The Honor Cross III. and IV. class (and of course the upper classes also) Schaumburg-Lippe and Lippe-Detmold are the same till 1889 Both show at the reverse the chiffre "LA" in the center of the order, which stands for Leopold III. (Prince of Lippe-Detmold) and Adolph Georg (Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe). These orders are very rare, all numbers of awards are less than 100. And some orders were given back to the "Staatsministerium" after both principalities were divided. Greetings Solomon

No, the book "Orden und Ehrenzeichen des F?rstenthums Lippe-Detmold" only shows the orders, the manufactures and the number of awards and only from Lippe-Detmold. In this book no decorations from Schaumburg-Lippe are shown! I have the copies of the lists of recipients from Schaumburg-Lippe and Lippe-Detmold (for the order of a. and s. 2nd class), which can be found in the archives of Detmold and B?ckeburg (for Schaumburg). But you can?t find the names in any books... Greetings Solomon

I know, that there is another file with many documents in the archive of Hannover. There are also some photos of her (maybe with the order(s) ???). When I?ll find the time, I?ll also visit this archive and collect some more information. I hope you like my research. It was quite difficult, but now I?m proud the result, which gives my very rare orders a name. Greetings Solomon

After a long research I can now offer you the person, who awarded these Orders for art an science 2nd class with oakleaves Lippe Detmold (?Lippische Rose 2.Klasse Lippe-Detmold) and the cross for art and science 2nd class Schaumburg Lippe (I showed it here: LINK). The only possible woman is the opera-singer Lilly Walleni-Strandberg (born as Sanna Klara Valentin (-Strandberg)) who was born in Malm?, 11. August 1875. She studied at the musical-college in Boston , returned to Swede in 1902 and went to Germany in 1908. From 1911 till 1917 she was employed at the opera in Hannover and became the title ?Fuerstlich Lippischische Kammersaengerin?. On 12. December 1913 she got the order for art and science 2nd class Schaumburg-Lippe. On 19. February 1914 she gave a concert at the castle of Detmold and the prince of Lippe-Detmold decorated her with the order of art and science 2nd class Lippe-Detmold (Lippische Rose) this day. The document for the ?Lippische Rose? she got on 11. March 1914 and she signed the receipt at the end of this month. In 1917 she returned to Stockholm, where she died on 14. May 1920. Both decorations of Lilly Walleni (there were no other awards from Lippe and Schaumburg-Lippe):

Now, gentlemen, I have the exact number of awards (because I have the award-list in copy...) There were 35 awards of the 1st class (1899-1918) incl. 20 awards till 1914 and 119 awards of the 2nd class (1899-1918) incl. 7 awards till 1902. 30 women got the order of art and science 2nd class of Schaumburg-Lippe. Now I know who got my awards (Schaumburg-Lippe and Lippische Rose 2nd class -both at a ribbon for women) Greetings Solomon

Hello, I?ve some nice new documents in my collection This one is for "B?rgermeister Reinhard Dony" (mayor of Quierscheid near Saarbr?cken), who awarded the order of the crown 3th class on 26th october 1916. I got also some other very nice documents from his father (?), who was Hauptmann (captain) till 1893. Does anybody have some more information about Reinhard Dony and his awards? I know this might be difficult, because maybe he wasn?t in the army... Greetings Solomon

Hi, the medal-bar at Ebay I don?t like very much. The ribbons are mounted very strange and the price for this bar is much too high BTW...two weeks ago, I bought some documents, awards and photos which contained the military merit medal Lippe-Detmold. There is a very small chance, that this guy (who was seriously wounded two times in WW1) got one of the two medals without swords, which were awarded in 1915. I have to check this, when I`ll visit the archive in Detmold again. Greetings Solomon
