    6. The Branko Bogdanovic book "Two centuries of police in Serbia" mentioned the gendarmerie were due to get an updated uniform and insignia by 1941, but it was only partially done. Anyone know what the 1938/39 insignia/ uniform were to be used ? Army style collar patches replacing the narrow pointed patches, removal of piping on cuffs/ trousers? Soft crowned officers style caps for all ranks.
    7. Hello, would the eagle and wreath police arm badge be issued in 1943-44 to the police volunteer battalions/ regiments ,comprised of ethnic Germans from Banat ,Yugoslavia ? Or no police arm badges ? They were given full German citizenship in May 1943. Polizei freiwilligen regiment 1-3 Serbien , formed May 1944 , 3 regiments. Polizei freiwilligen regiment Kroatian , formed in November 1943, Polizei freiwilligen battailon Montenegro , formed June 1944.

    11. Hello gents, found this link recently that shows Albanian uniforms from 1912 right through to the communist era. Very impressive collection. http://www.gazetadita.al/fotot-shteti-shqiptar-ne-uniforma/ Although I cannot see any uniforms worn by the Albanian army after the 1943 Italian armistice. Did they continue to wear the Cacciatori d'Albania collar patches (red and Black) or reintroduce the pre 1939 Albanian green ones ? Dave.

Hello, i would have suggested you look at this website- http://www.albmilitary.com but unfortunately it became defunct in the summer of 2013, which was a shame as it had a lot of information and photos. You could try the Albanian armed forces museum , Forcat e armatosura muze, email - aqfa@aaf.mil.al , i have emailed a few times but keep on getting a "failed delivery " message, perhaps you will have more success.     18. Hello gentlemen, just been looking at fickr and found a nice photo of the 1936-44 Mongolian rank insignia (like the photos Ed Haynes posted a few years ago). Go onto google images and put in either- khalkin gol 1939 , click on the photo of the Mongolian cavalry photo in the 3rd row or put in - Rangabzeichen 1930-1945 ,into the images search box. Hopefully the photo will show. Would anyone be able to translate (the clear and legible) caption labels ? Dave.

    21. Hello, does anyone know what type of rank insignia was used by ty the Tuvan army mid 1930 s - 1941 ? On the following link - http://en.tuvaonline.ru/2010/02/23/4600_churguy-ool.html (scroll down to last photo) , it shows that the Tuvans had their own type of officers insignia. I haven't seen any other information . I'm not even sure of the collar patch colour. Dave.
    22. Hello an odd request but does anyone know what uniforms were worn by the army of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic during 1918-20. I believe they wore mainly Russian uniforms. Also there may be some illustrations in the Russian TSEIKHGAUZ magazine issue 40-41. Does anyone have a copy ? Dave.
    23. Hello, does anyone know of any websites that have photos of the Serbian State Guard ? When i go onto google images and write- Srpska Drzavna Straza , i see some photos from a blog but cannot get them to enlarge . Very frustrating. Dave.
    24. Hello, not too sure if this is in the correct topic forum, but i need some help. Any Russian members or members that can email in Russian? There is a (non military) Russian museum i would like to contact,i don't speak or write Russian ,, and i'm hoping an email in Russian might get a response rather than emailing in English. regards Ranjit.
