    1. Thanks for clarification Paul. Here's one very interesting Prince Pavle's wedding photo, Duke of York was best man.
    2. Prince Pavle's miniatures (Photo found online, many thanks to original uploader). His daughter donated them to the Military Museum (text in Serbian: http://www.princesselizabeth.org/?page_id=636#). -1. Order of the White Eagle -2. Order of the Redeemer (Greece) -3. Order of George I (Greece) -4. Royal Victorian Order (Great Britain). -5. King Petar I Coronation Medal -6. First Balkan War Commemorative Medal -7. Second Balkan War Commemorative Medal -8. First World War Commemorative Medal
    3. Not my field but could be Czechoslovakian Avia BH-33E. According to some sources we bought 20 airplanes in 1929 together with a licence to produce 24 more. I think that they were made by Ikarus.
    4. Thank you gentlemen Unfortunately this is the only photo of him in our family. And thank you Markus for posting that image, perhaps it would not be a bad idea to post it in the Nick's topic about miniatures as well Considering that you have the book I guess that you must have noticed very nice Serbian diplomat's medal bar with L&S, page 504. in my copy.
    5. I happen to have one photo of my great-great-great-grandfather next to Nikolajević, unfortunately the picture was taken ten years before Shah came to Serbia... Nikolajević is on the right.
    6. Domestic decorations: -Order of the Cross of Takovo 1st class -Order of Miloš the Great 3rd class -Order of the White Eagle 4th or 5th class -Commemorative Medal of the St. Andrew's Assembly 1858-1898 (miniature of this medal is on the chain) -Commemorative Medal of the 1885-1886 War Foreign decorations: -Legion of Honor 2nd class -Order of Medjidie -Order of the Lion and Sun (?) The chain also consists of these eight decorations.
    7. A very interesting set of miniatures with the Lion and Sun can be seen in the book "Serbian and Yugoslavian Orders and Decorations from 1859 to 1941" on page 549. They are mounted on a silver gilt chain which belonged to Dušan Spasić (Душан Спасић) who was also one of the ministers who welcomed Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar during his visit in September 1900. Photography from the collection of the Museum of Applied Art. I am not sure but the star next to Order of Medjidie could perhaps be it. This photo was a gift of the Minister of National Economy Spasić to his friend general Milivoj Nikolajević (Миливој Николајевић) who took part in welcoming the Shah as well. So Nikolajević could also be one of the Serbs who received this order. The rest of delegation consisted of Nastas Antonović - Minister of Justice (Настас Антоновић), Pavle Marinković - Minister of Education (Павле Маринковић, posts #872-877) and Pavle Bošković - Head of the Military Academy (Павле Бошковић). I tired to find photos of the rest of them with decorations but had no luck.
    8. Huguenin. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-20222700-1392042853.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-23519000-1392042862.jpg
    9. Bertrand. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-91911600-1392041375.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-50061300-1392041386.jpg
    10. The crown is still a puzzle to me, I checked the literature and my archive and can't find anything similar... Generally speaking back side of the crown was not enameled on the 4th class orders, central red "gem" is surrounded by green ones with the white "dots" between them (Scheid & Huguenin) or it is the opposite (central green gem is surrounded by red ones - Bertrand). I deliberately underlined generally because there are some exceptions but the most of the orders fit the description from the previous sentence.
    11. ...and again. Roman numeral stamped twice on this one. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-73786600-1391988258.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-39920200-1391988284.jpg
    12. ...and again... http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-94612300-1391987946.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-72036800-1391988086.jpg
    13. Same thing here and one more (in my opinion) strange looking number. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-69776900-1391987658.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-75816000-1391987703.jpg http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-31927200-1391987718.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-50487200-1391987737.jpg
    14. One more "shinny" piece, notice the big contrast in color between the edges of the star and the wreath around it. Looks like someone painted the wreath but missed couple of spots... http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-06820300-1391987347.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-89230500-1391987387.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-05354100-1391987409.jpg
    15. I've been meaning to start a topic about some let's say strange Yugoslav Partisan Stars but this seemed like a better place for expressing my doubts. What do you think about this second class order? http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-69972100-1391986646.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2014/post-7937-0-06273900-1391986658.jpg Those very shinny screw nuts always scare me, back side of the order is also strange - especially the number, could be bad picture but it seems like everything except the first digit is unreadable. I've been following discussion about this matter on various forums but I would also like to hear opinions of the participants in this topic. Thanks in advance.
    16. No worries, the important thing is that we noticed something strange. You could be right, especially considering that this piece is coming from Liverpool medals were we saw some strange "hybrids" before, like for example that Huguenin's 3rd class Saint Sava with monogram on the back...
    17. Greetings, Actually I think that the problem is not with the inscriptions but with the coats of arms. Also looks French to me, double-headed eagle is crowned like on one Bertrand's variant. But the (big) crown is definitely different perhaps even unique, don't remember seeing anything like that before - all of the "gems" are red and the dots between them green on both sides...
    18. Most interesting, thanks! May I ask what is that person on the picture, some kind of a civil servant?
