    1. It sounds like you have an amazing collection! Do you have some more ribbon bars? I saw only one 4-stars navy uniform on the market, can't say when exactly, probably some 5-10 years ago. I think it was discussed on some of the ex-Yu forums and if I remember well it was unworn. I'll try finding that topic...
    2. Koča Popović's decorations, among them Hero of Socialist Labor, Historical Archives of Belgrade.
    3. Don't mention it, Gordon. Unfortunately we can only guess why was the medal gilded. Best regards
    4. Thank you. If it's before 1999 then his ribbon bar should be without Yugoslav Flag and Medal for Combat Cooperation as well, I believe he received those two decorations after Order of Freedom. Looking forward to seeing those uniforms, especially Mamula's as he was the only fleet admiral in Yugoslavia. I saw one of his ribbon bars in a private collection, it consisted out of 15 ribbons!
    5. Greetings Gordon, I believe I posted the same medal HERE because I was wondering the same thing. The medal seems authentic, so perhaps some kind of a mix-up at the factory?
    6. Excellent, thanks! Kardelj's decorations, among them two Heroes of the Socialist Labor, photo taken during his funeral.
    7. I'm not completely sure but it seems Gaddafi was awarded with both SFRY and FRY era Grand Yugoslavian Star. According to Wikipedia article he received Yugoslavian Star (26 October 1999), I presume it had to be Grand Yugoslavian Star. There's an article on B92 website which states he was awarded with medal "Grand Star" (medalja "Velika zvezda")... LINK
    8. Dragomir, thank you for taking the time to transliterate and post the whole list of recipients. I noticed you added FRY-era holders of the Grand Yugoslavian Star to it: Akihito, Carlo Azzeglio Ciampi, Ion Iliescu and Peng Li. According to Wikipedia article Akihito was awarded in 2002. I've been going through the Official Gazette and I think lists of recipients weren't being published in 1951-1967 period. Although to be honest I didn't check every single number... Stojan Rudež wrote that one Order of the Yugoslav Star 1st Class was awarded to Indonesian citizen in 1958. Perhaps some lower classes were awarded at that time as well.
    9. You are welcome, I see you have a nice collection of Bravery Medals yourself

    11. The unusual one, I believe someone used ribbon for the ribbon bar, stripes are pale blue like on the Soviet type and the suspension is made out of some yellowish metal.
    12. One more like above but with suspension made out of different kind of metal and with different box.
    13. Here's an example of Soviet medal on Yugoslav suspension, someone combined parts of different decorations...
    14. You are welcome, I'm not done with research, there might have been other recipients as well. Thanks showing us the order, we can see coat of arms with five torches on the back side of the badge so we're dealing with earlier variant, after 1963 it had six torches. Generally speaking I think it's possible someone received order with five torches over a decade after the change, especially because this particular order was pretty rarely awarded.
    15. Thanks for reminding me Couple of Soviet made type 1 medals, light blue stripes. By the way notice how the suspensions look like, we talked about it earlier in another thread.

    17. Thank you, you don't see many of them with Order of Freedom Although to be honest so far I saw three ribbon bars that belonged to gen. Pavković on the market... A fellow collector has one with 13 ribbons.
    18. It belonged to general Pavković, I got it together with shirt and one extra pair of shoulder boards.
