    1. Over the time this topic became more about various royal era fakes than about chetnik items as originally intended. Because of that I hope no one minds when I post items from that era that are not related to chetniks. I just noticed this scarce medal on ebay which to me personally looks suspicious. Have a look and tell me what you think.
    2. I believe that Rogi is right. Apart from what he already wrote we can see that rear admiral also received Legion of Honor which is listed after Danilo. To me that indicates that he was the sole recipient of Danilo II.
    3. I agree, I can only imagine how much time and effort it took to make such a book. I used FineReader to extract the names from scans, one more lazy option. I was just wondering do French perhaps have lists of foreign recipients from WW1 era? If something like that exists I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction,
    4. "The third variant" http://www.ebay.com/itm/YUGOSLAVIA-Order-of-the-NATIONAL-HERO-/161651175451?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a329301b
    5. It's always a pleasure to see re-united decorations! Thanks for sharing photos of these beauties with us. Danilo is really amazing!
    6. Don't mention it Paul. Thank you for sharing nice photos of these rare decorations!
    7. Order of Njegoš 1st class. ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >
    8. I apologize for duplicating information 922F already posted. 1st and 2nd class of the Order of the Star of Karađorđe.
    9. Greetings Paul, Those are actually Republika Srpska decorations. The one with the sash is Order of Njegoš 1st class (it comes togehter with breast star). The other one is Order of the Star of Karađorđe, it could be part of a 1st class (badge worn on sash + golden breast star) or 2nd class set (badge worn on neck ribbon + silver breast star). There were more information in Republika Srpska topic, unfortunately as you said photos are still not available...
    10. Don't mention it Paul. What I would really like to know is to whom it was awarded.
    11. Thanks for the link! There's topic on GMIC about one more Bertrand's brilliant St. Sava Order like that: That one was awarded to Queen Maria of Romania, unfortunately photos are still unavailable...
    12. One more fake, this time Petar I Coronation Medal. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1904-SERBIA-MEDAL-KING-PETAR-I-/181661177847?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4bd997f7&nma=true&si=AQKx8Zt72eV0170iDupnyQz3VY0%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2015_03/$_57_(1).jpg.4dce1ab3f11c95eb3d90f009cecd3270.jpg
    13. I said what I had to say, I don't know what are you trying to prove with that kind of behavior but you only proved how uncivilized you can be.
    14. You are welcome! About those 4 medals, first 2 I am not sure about but the last two are definitely Slovakian. I think one commemorates 70 years of General military hospital, other could perhaps be for 70 years of the Slovak National Uprising but I really don't know... Photos from the same site, made during last year's visit to Slovakia when medals were awarded. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2015/post-7937-0-75340200-1425560215.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2015/post-7937-0-78964900-1425560241.jpg
    15. Greetings draza from Kipar, Not everyone speaks Serbian, you should write in English so all can see what kind of language you use. Next time read my posts more carefully perhaps then you won't have digestion problems. I wrote I suspect the badge is fake. Based on your reply I can see that such a big expert as yourself is also not sure if it's original or not. That makes me, an amateur in this filed, even more sceptical. Also I never wrote that there's something wrong with the crossed bones and the fact that the badge is without producer's inscription on the back, I just asked if that's OK. Based on the fact that these are scarce it makes me a bit suspicious to see couple of them appearing almost at the same time... Once before you wrote that badges everyone else considers fakes are OK, based on that and your tone in previous reply I suppose you could be one of the sellers. It might be interesting to mention that in the meantime ad for the badge with purple background disappeared... This would be my last reply to you unless you change your tone and start speaking in more civilized manner.
    16. Thank you very much for sharing photos of these rare original pieces from your collection with us. I probably should have formulated my questions more clearly, what I would like to know is: -are there original badges without "spider" crossbones (both badges that you have shown us have that detail) -and is there variation of the badge without inscription on the the back ( of course not counting badges made during war "on the field" from canteens and similar metal objects)
    17. One more question, I noticed that some of these fakes have a spider web-like part between the crossed bones while others don't. Original badge that serbman was so kind to show us in post #191 (http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/31679-serbia-original-chetnik-items/?p=609500) has that detail. I've been going through photos of fakes and it seems to me that all those badges without inscription are also without "spider web". Are there authentic pieces like that?
    18. Here's one more badge I suspect to be fake. I posted this one because it seems that certain amount of them without inscription on the back side appeared lately. I apologize if someone already wrote about this matter but is that generally speaking normal? Are there authentic pieces like that out there? http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2015/post-7937-0-01871600-1425303525.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2015/post-7937-0-33758600-1425303551.jpg
    19. That should be Cross Order of Queen Frederica. Unfortunately I wasn't able to dig up more info about it.
    20. And here's one I class with ZNB screw nut, price for this one was around 200. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2015/post-7937-0-73304700-1424633315.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2015/post-7937-0-98868500-1424633318.jpg
    21. About the early parachute instructors' badge, I read somewhere that they were instituted in 1949. I've seen I class (25 - 30) and II class (10 - 15), they are usually is similar shape. I think production material was not of great quality. Some have IKOM screw nut like yours others are with ZNB nuts. Here are photos of 2nd class badge from last year's auction. It got sold for around 170 Euros. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2015/post-7937-0-99158000-1424633052.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_02_2015/post-7937-0-32220600-1424633056.jpg
    22. You're welcome, I hope I didn't offend you in any way with my previous posts. Considering that you have two golden parachutists in your possession and I never even held one in my hands you must know more about them than me.
    23. Much has been said about the badge since the last time I wrote in this topic. I started the discussion saying that the first badge looks nicer perhaps because of the photo or light, and that turned out to be the case here. Also now that you have posted better photos I can see that the badge on ebay is actually the same as the one I mentioned before (one seen of some "regional" forum with two hallmarks in the bottom and one above). I tried to remember where I found photos of it but I really don't have a clue nor is that important. About the number of the badges that appeared on sale, honestly this is the second time I see golden parachute badge. But I've heard stories we all heard many times before that someone somewhere allegedly found a stash of badges, amongst them even couple of golden ones. According to the story they were then sold to Belgrade dealers. How much of that story is true I really don't know but I will mention this, I saw with my own eyes two golden pilot badges (not rare as parachute ones but still pretty rare and expensive) being offered by the same seller in the last couple of months and they both looked OK to me.
    24. Everything is looks bad, "big crown", "smaller crown", eagle, take a look at the cloak especially fringes on the right side!
    25. Compare it with this original piece (not mine). Details are obviously not as good as on the original piece, for example take a look at the acorn in the upper right part of the fake medal.
