Here are couple of Air Force patches (and scans) from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia era (Савезна Република Југославија - СРЈ). Yugoslavia SFR of Yugoslavia - Pilot's badge with flight book
paja replied to paja's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Greetings Paul, Pictures of Parachute instructor's badge ("I class", II class badge and golden one as well) can be found here: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/53280-yugoslavia-parachute-instructor-badge-in-gold/ One more interesting thing, compare these pilot badges with the ones of the previous, royal Yugoslavia. Communists kept almost the same design! Crown was replaced with red star and old royal coat of arms with new one... Regards, Radmilo -

Socialist Yugoslavia introduced Pilot's badge (Летачки знак пилота) in 1953. First type (1953-1963) had 5 torches in the coat of arms, second type had 6 (1963-). Golden pilot's badge (gold) was introduced in 1967 and Gilded pilot's badge introduced in 1985 (gilded silver). Apart from these pilot badges there were also: -Navigator's badge (Летачки знак извиђача) 1953-1967 (After 1967 no longer in use). -Specialist's badge - also called Mechanic's badge (Летачки знак специјалисте); 2 types (1953-1963 5 torches, 1963- 6 torches). -Parachute instructor's badge (Летачки знак падобранског инструктора); 2 types (1953-1963 5 torches, 1963- 6 torches). -Parachute instructor 2nd class (Летачки знак падобранског инструктора II класе) 1971-1985 (After 1985 no longer in use). -Golden parachute instructor's badge (Златни летачки знак падобранског инструктора) 1984- Here are couple of pictures of 2nd type of Pilot's badge (1963-).

Serbia Serbia Kingdom medal Bar on Ebay
paja replied to Emanuel's topic in Southern European & Balkan States
Greetings gentlemen, I agree with Emanuel, looks genuine to me. When you take a look at the back side of the medal bar you can see that the Albanian retreat medal was added later. It could be that it was the last award that person received and then just placed on the already existing medal bar (in my opinion better there, on the first place, than on the last one). Stranger thing about this medal bar is that the Obilić medal is placed after Medal for military merits and Medal for zealous service... -
You are welcome Igor, I am glad if that was useful

Iver you are welcome It really does resemble to Arhus Bertrand but there are couple of differences, also all of the Bertrand's boxes were, as far as I know, rectangular. Some of the boxes that Rothe used for White Eagle were very similar, but they were signed and their coat of arms is slightly different. I believe that the box is Fürst's because of the crown, that producer used coat of arms with a large crown (compared to the rest of the coat of arms) and also the cross on top of the crown is a different than for example Rothe's. I found one nice picture of Bertrand's coat of arms on my HDD, here it is just for comparison. Kind regards, Radmilo
-
Greetings Iver, I could be wrong but I think that it is for the Order of the Cross of Takovo as well. And considering that there is no inscription on the inner part of the lid and the look of the coat of arms my guess would be early Anton Fürst. Regards, Radmilo
