    1. Hi all, Here's one... not sure what it's for and too bleary eyed to look it up on the translation program to see if I can figure it out. [attachmentid=52124]
    2. Assuming these are Bundeswehr. They're unissued and still stitched together: [attachmentid=52122] [attachmentid=52123]
    3. Had these for a long time. I believe the first set are Luftwaffe: [attachmentid=52120]
    4. And I'm assuming these are parade dress cuff litzen: [attachmentid=52118] [attachmentid=52119] Thanks, Dan
    5. Here's a set of white base tabs... again no idea on these: [attachmentid=52116] [attachmentid=52117]
    6. Hi all, I got these ages ago in a little junk shop down in Palm Harbor Florida. Was part of a big group of boards and tabs and such. I've always assumed these were Fire Police, probably post war West German. But any additional info or even confirmation of this would be most appreciated. They're not in super shape but are as I got them way back when. These first ones seemed unusual to me in the type of button they have as well as the clip underneath on each. I've never seen this type before or since. [attachmentid=52112] [attachmentid=52113]
    7. Hi all, Was digging through some boxes tonight and pulled these out. Not in the greatest of shape but it's how I got them in a big group many moons ago. [attachmentid=52110] [attachmentid=52111] Are these possibly Afrika Korps or Tropical officers tabs? If not, any idea what they might be? Thanks, Dan
    8. Any ideas on this one? [attachmentid=52108] And finally... Combat Infantry and Tank badges: [attachmentid=52109] Dan
    9. U.S. Coast Guard. Coast Guard Command: [attachmentid=52104] [attachmentid=52105] Coast Guard Auxilliary: [attachmentid=52106] [attachmentid=52107]
    10. The famed "Wings of Gold"... navy pilot wings: [attachmentid=52099] [attachmentid=52100] Naval Aviation Observer: [attachmentid=52101] Nuclear Sub: [attachmentid=52102] [attachmentid=52103]
    11. Here's some Navy pieces. Navy Aircrew: [attachmentid=52087] Navy Command (full sized and mini): [attachmentid=52088] [attachmentid=52089] Navy Patrol Boat Command: [attachmentid=52090] [attachmentid=52091] And one I never see... even in the surplus catalogs. They offer these from the other branches but I never see navy examples. This was a gift from a friend I worked with in radio who was a Recruiter many moons ago. This was his original badge and he had to obtain a new one as this was starting to show it's age. [attachmentid=52095] [attachmentid=52096]
    12. Hi all, Here's some of what I have. I'll keep adding over time. No particular order here... just going to let fly. Here's some Air Force badges: I believe this one is for Traffic Controllers: [attachmentid=52080] I think this one is for Security/Air Police... Senior level. [attachmentid=52081] Not sure on this one. [attachmentid=52083] A pair of wings... again not sure on these as far as what they are. [attachmentid=52085] [attachmentid=52086]
    13. Suhrat #118811: [attachmentid=52077] [attachmentid=52078] If anyone has any further info on either of these please let me know. Thanks! Dan
    14. Hi all, Here's better shots of those Uzbekistan awards: Jasorat #010813: [attachmentid=52075] [attachmentid=52076]
    15. Hi Chris, Many thanks... that's a great idea! I may just do that. I think the reason they got one with an English inscription is that they insisted on their children learning English since they were Americans. Sadly they did not pass along their language. I can remember my Great Grandmother Harmony from when I was very little. She'd speak in German as she was getting to that stage in life and I could not understand her. How I wish she'd passed it to her kids and so on down to me. Thanks again for the great suggestion. I may make two and present one to my mom as a gift at some point. I think she'd really appreciate it. Dan
    16. Hi Darrell, Just have to get that group shot together showing the whole family! Methinks it would fill a fairly large dance hall!!!! But I totally agree... very underappreciated except for the specialty or really rare pieces, etc. But hey, I love them, they needed a home... what's a collector to do? Many thanks my friend! Dan
    17. #5502 [attachmentid=52070] [attachmentid=52071] #3002 [attachmentid=52072] [attachmentid=52073] The two I already have and these four all seem to have minor variations on the position of the mint marks and the serial numbers. Methinks I'm definitely hooked on these little guys. Dan
    18. Hi all, Here's the other four Umalatova OGPW 2nd's I've got coming soon: #3391 [attachmentid=52066] [attachmentid=52067] #3089 [attachmentid=52068] [attachmentid=52069]
    19. And last but not least... not a medal the a commemorative piece that I've always liked and thought I'd post it here as a tribute to U.S. Vets. [attachmentid=52064] [attachmentid=52065] That concludes the show... for now at least. I do hope to add a few more before all is said and done. Dan
    20. Medal for the Liberation of Kuwait: And although this is, I believe a Saudi award alot of our troops were awarded it so felt I'd pop it in here as a companion to the Persian Gulf medal. Besides... I really like the design of this one not to mention the overabundance of green and gold in it's design as well as the case. [attachmentid=52059] [attachmentid=52060] [attachmentid=52061] [attachmentid=52062] [attachmentid=52063]
    21. Persian Gulf Campaign medal: [attachmentid=52057] [attachmentid=52058] My understanding of this one is that it was the proposed first issue of a medal for the first Persian Gulf Campaign. Turns out some Congressman saw it, thought it was way too funny and told them to redesign it so it hit the scrap heap. No idea if this story is true but that was what I heard. I have this one, another sealed in the original packaging and had one other that I gave as a gift to a friend who was a long time Sergeant in the Florida National Guard as he got a kick out of the design and felt it would be a terrific conversation piece.
    22. Naval Civilian Service medal: [attachmentid=52055] [attachmentid=52056]
