    1. Hi Eric, Well, well... I know this bade! Prime example, me old matey. Has N.H given up collecting? A look at a side by side comparison wiil show that this is not an Assmann bird, but is fact pure Juncker. Imo both firms, working from the designers artwork, produced a very similar bird for their 1st pattern examples. Juncker then went on to produce their 2nd pattern and Assmann retained the same eagle throughtout.
    2. Hi Rich, Yes it's the pic... The hinge is all brass which blends in with the gilding. Not unusual to find examples without the blued central piece. I was talking to T.C and, going on the MM, it looks like this badge one one earliest to be marked with the full name after the "CEJ" mark ended. Oh yes, this came from C.B.
    3. An extremely rare piece, Mike. I've only ever seen one other. Very nice.
    4. Very nice, Rich... Here's a bit of graphics showing my flock. Only two are cased. Those FJ cases are harder to find than the badges, these days!
    5. Marc, I only have the one document for the flak badge..... http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=818 Post #2 If it's of any interest, feel free to use it.
    6. Probably the most common Rumanian award/medal issued to members of the German forces was the ?Crusade against Communism? medal. Here are a couple of examples. Medal bar.
    7. Hi Frank, Nice display.. Here's a link to a biog' on Marseille which makes interesting reading. http://www.3squadron.org.au/subpages/marseille.htm
    8. Hi Justin. I agree with the guys...and just for reference, here's an original. If you do a side by side comparison you'll see that the one you show is a cast copy of an original.
    9. Many thanks for posting your Fathers? group, Hardy? An excellent piece of history! Would it be possible to post his denazified badge as it?s quite rare to see original badges direct from the veteran.
