    1. The next two, commonly referred to as ?Maker unknown?, are both in zinc (as are all LGAB?s) but come with different finishes. The first is nickel plated; the second is finished with a later war, frosting. As far as a possible maker for these badges is concerned?Having seen more than one these badges in original paper bags, I think it quite safe to say that the maker is ?Arno Wallpach, Metallwarenfabrik Salzburg?. Obverse of the early nickel plated type.
    2. Unfortunately no, Paul. Juncker. This is only the second example I?ve seen with the ?Schwerin? type pin.
    3. A side by side comparison of the 1st pattern ?Assmann? (left) and ?Juncker? (right) shows how close, and yet how different, they are.
    4. Good morning, JB In fact, both shown above are ?Juncker?. The one on the left being the 1st pattern. Easy to confuse the two as the eagles of the 1st type ?Assmann? and ?Juncker? are so close in design.
    5. You had better get that air-conditioned, bug proof war (there goes the master bedroom) room sorted out, Paul. It looks like you're going to need it. Another nice addition...now put it down!!
    6. JB!! With all these nice examples you?ve kept, it shows a keen eye for all things Luftwaffe. What made you switch to KM? Here are a couple of black wreathed factory mates to keep him company.
    7. And I can see why, JB. I've been looking for one of these in that condition for about the same amount of time. So, if you do ever decide to pass it on.....
    8. Hi Doug... From those pix it looks like a good B&NL Radio Operator/Air Gunner with replaced pin.
    9. Doogle, There are plenty of LGAB's out there. Have a look at the LGAB's on this site. Dealer prices.. but for that amount you could pick up a much nicer piece. http://www.philipp-militaria.de/ Once there, go to " Orden & Ehrenzeichen III. Reich bis 1945" >> "Luftwaffe" and the LGAB's are on the 2nd page. Prices range from ?110-450
    10. That?s better, Doug? Not sure of the maker.. I think it?s one that hasn?t been identified as yet. Hinge and pin look ok. Possible repair to the catch. ?Ballpark? value? A one piece, with repairs and lack of finish? around ?90.
    11. Good morning, Doug... Better pictures needed on this one.
    12. Hi Giorgio...This fake has been around for some time. If possible, your friend should send it back for a refund.
    13. Extremely nice, Paul?and in wonderful condition! Tell me, how do you store your uniforms? I would be terrified of moth and all those other cloth munching critters.
    14. A quick search has turned up this document signed by ?Daluege?.
    15. Yes, Doug... A nice early buntmetal example. Classic hinge, pin, catch and rivets for this maker.
    16. Wow!! This is a first for me, F. Lots of Luftwaffe pilots seen with the Italian pilots badges, but Italian pilots with German badges is very unusual. Nice..
