    1. An R67 (technical University) NIB variation and a NIB!
    2. A NIB and an R50 (foreign language institute)
    3. Why did you start this up again!!! Just joking, I've been putting this off too!! There are just too many of these!!! I'll do my best and fill a few gaps, and add a few variations of ones already posted. JC let me start with an R52 (Military Academy) and two NIBs
    4. The ER stands for Edward Rex. Edward was king after Vicky. From 1901 'till 1910. JC
    5. You obviously know your stuff! I had another look at the rifle in question and on the other side of the rifle is a stamp from 1909. I guess it was updated or fixed? The marking on the first pic of this rifle reads "sparkbrook". Thanks to all of you who've helped so far! JC edit: I just had a closer look and the barrel has several "ER" markings so I'm guessing that the barrel was replaced.
    6. Wow, I didn't understand half of that! I'm sorry I'm completely ignorant when it comes to guns. We bought them like this from a farmer in South Africa who had a barn full of these, I mean dozens and dozens of them. They were all welded shut, with no magazines and they all had a little hole drilled in the barrel. Would it be possible to buy the missing parts to get them looking like they did back in the day? Or would it not be worth the trouble? JC
    7. This one is marked: VR Sparkbrook 1893 II (with a horizontal stripe through the numeral)
    8. Hi there, I have three Enfields that we bought in South Africa some 20 odd years ago and I've always wondered about them. who used them and so on. I must confess that their value is also of interest, not for sales purposes, but just so I know. Anyway here they are so any info would be most appreciated! Almost forgot they all have the "U" with arrow on them. Thanks JC PS. Sorry about the bad first picture.

      Japanese mint marks

I was wondering, how many different mint marks are there for Japanese orders and medals. I know of the "M" mark for Osaka, I think, but how about the rest? I'm wondering about one that actually looks a little like this " t " in particular. Any ideas? thanks JC
    11. Forgot to mention this in the post above, but even as a boy Choibalsan didn't smile!!!
    12. Just got these stamps from a Russian friend. There were some really old ones in addition to these but none of the others had orders etc. on them. I thought I'd add these for obvious reasons!
    13. Khalkin Gol fake thread here: Khalkin Gol JC
    14. I should probably get my self another copy as mine has seen better days too. It's a shame 'cause it has a nice inscription from Dr.B to my brother and is numbered 45. $59 is still not bad for the only ref. on my favourite subject!! JC
    15. I feel bad now, I've only got the one pinback! Still looking for a screwback though! Those are some amazing specimens you've got there gentlemen!!
    16. I'm actually glad that it's not real. (Sorry usairforce, I hope you didn't pay too much for it) There are so many great Mongolian items and some really bad ones, but even the bad ones have a certain something. Take P01 for example, crude construction and it looks like a ten year old designed it but I still think it's a great little badge! It's almost cartoonish, but it has character! This badge just has none of that, it was made to deceive. usairforce, the other two badges are very nice though. JC last pic of the back, not really needed but that's all of them..
    17. Ed do you remember this one? It was offered to me for $700 , but in the end I didn't end up buying it. It just smelled funny! Here are the pictures I was sent by the seller. JC
    18. I guess that's the same as the Nomonhan incident medal?? I know I have better pictures, but these are the only ones I could find! ps. Almost forgot there are two variations of this medal. The rarer of the two has a larger raven (I think it's a raven) on the front.. I'm not sure which variation this one is but they really do look about the same.
    19. One of the scribbles reads "K... Walker", although the first name is hard to make out since the paint covers part of it. Thanks in advance.
