    1. Dear Filip, extraordinary document . Dr. Ribar didn't receive the "Order of Freedom" ? Best regards Christian
    2. Dear Gerd, many thanks - I switched now to British-English . I never noticed that language bottom before . There is a lot of trash at e-Bay .... Best regards Christian
    3. Dear Bryan, many thanks for showing us that beautyful order . But a Zeige's starting price of more than USD 1.200,- (incl. premium + creditcard fee; excl. shipping & insurance) for a very, very late version (unissued?) of that order is a bit too much . More interesting is at Zeige's coming auction that documented YU-military-group of 5 awards + 3 documents for USD 175,- starting price: http://www.zeige.com/cgi-bin/cat-art-index...auktionskatalog But only, if it's possible to get that set for almost the starting price! As Vienna, Germany seems to be a bit expensive for YU-Awards . Best regards Christian
    4. Dear Vic, as I can see at the scan, the VOLGA has the "ordinary" Brembro-brakes for a Porsche with steel brake discs, but a general brake service - if you drive fast, that will occour rather often - still costs a fortune. For the 2-years-motor-service of the 8-cylinder-Porsche-turbo-engine you have to calculate with about several thousends of hard earned bucks . Best regards Christian
    5. Dear Gerd, first of all: Congratulations to your 2.500 postings . I am using an ordinary Microsoft-browser of the latest version, because my MS-Windows gets updated automatically via internet. It would be a great help for me - and for other German speaking GMIC-members - to explain it step by step & foolsave. Many thanks . Best regards Christian
    6. But I don't think it's Leningrad ... Best regards Christian
    7. Dear Gerd, my EDV-serviceman told me, not to doctor around at my browser configurations . Best regards Christian
    8. So, he doesn't sell only empty cigarette-boxes . Many thanks for the information . Best regards Christian
    9. Dear Belaruski, using a German browser, I have no access to e-Bay WW II . Please can you send me a link to Aleg's dealers website - I only found a Aleg Litvinovich, who sells empty cigarette-boxes . Many thanks . Best regards Christian
    10. Dear Belaruski, 1) The defenders of Tsaritsyn, the later Stalingrad, during the Civil War ? 2a) Kliment Voroshilov had been the CO of these men and Luhanks was named Voroshilovgrad ? 2b) Iosif Stalin had been the supreme commander and Traritsyn was named Stalingrad ? Best regards Christian
    11. Dear Kevin, maybe we shall collect some scans and send them to ?GO http://www.ordenskunde.at/ . At least they don't have these badges at their (small) fake-site .... Best regards Christian
    12. Gentlemen, yesterday I got that late version of the badge "Honored Coal Miner of the CCCP" at a dealer in Vienna for EUR 15,- (USD 20,-) Enamel is perfect and the tools are painted black. At the rv. is the Leningrad Mint Mark "LMD" in cyrillic. Igor offers the early version of that badge: http://www.collectrussia.com/DISPITEM.HTM?ITEM=13632 for USD 80,-. Sorry for the bad scans . Best regards Christian
    13. That's a joke ? At least the document seems to be authentic ... Best regards Christian
    14. Dear Belaruski, congratulations to your victory . Li Zhensheng has done great photographic documents, but from the mere artistic viewpoint his work is no match to the Soviet photographers of the 1930s & 1940s, I think. Best regards Christian
    15. Dear Milan, many thanks for the link . Beautyful items, but as I guessed: More or less in the old Serbian "Royal-Style" . Best regards Christian
    16. Gentlemen, I think we shall forget the so called "other" Soviet forum ... That forum is "history" - nothing more . The owner of the "other" forum blocked now all the pictures for non-members, which is not a very friendly act . I myself had been one of the first - and one of the most active - members of the "other" Soviet forum. But the owner of that platform decided to kick out all "liberal" oriented members and to bann them for lifetime . Best regards Christian
    17. Dear Bryan, many thanks for that information . GOOGLE brings nothing about the (Jewish-German ?) scientist Reichmann . So, it is a 1st class ... I don't believe, that the document has an original signature of Stalin - it should be only stamped and the seller states "Wischspuren", which is typical for stamped signatures . What price does the dealer ask ? A Stalin-Prize 1cl + large document + genuine Stalin-signature to a famous scientist (nuclear bomb ?) shall sell in the USD 10.000,- + region, I guess. Best regards Christian
    18. Dear Kevin, you can see (& hear) Joan Baez singing that ballade of Joe Hill at the "Woodstock"-DVD. Wiki-link to comrade Joe Hill: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Hill . True Socialism had been rather strong in the USA in the 1930s & 1940s . Best regards Christian
    19. Dear Belaruski, great design of your avatar Is it possible to get that badge somewhere ? Best regards Christian
    20. Dear Antonio, many thanks for the perfect ribbon sheet . So, RS still issues orders & medals . Your links don't work . Is there a possibility to see the full decorations of the ribbons ? Best regards Christian
    21. Dear Bryan, many thanks for the scans . Please post the written content from e-Bay to us - as you know, German speaking members (browser!) have due to Anti-Nazi-Laws no access to the WW II e-Bay-section . Due to issue date 1951 the document has only the stamped signature of comrade Stalin and not the authentic one . The small ID-card is missing ? Who is the receipient of that 2cl - artist, composer, technican, etc. ? Does it come with a PMD-certificate ? Best regards Christian
    22. Dear Ed, very fine trio . You stated true words . But some members already showed some documented sets . To get "Mongolian-Knowledge" about YU-Awards would yield into a major research project. We will have to wait some days for the coming Serbian government - maybe there might be some interest in the phaleristic history of Serbia/Yugoslavia from official side, who knows .... Best regards Christian
    23. Dear Filip, your uncle had been a doctor at the famous Military Hospital in Belgrade ? He retired as a Lt.-Col. ? Best regards Christian
    24. Gentlemen, I think, that we would have to sell or collections for buying such a VOLGA . Best regards Christian BTW: I prefer my orders & medals . Just imagine the costs for a brake-service at such a VOLGA .
    25. Dear Bryan, bad news .... . Christophe has also only the German book. Best regards Christian
