    1. Hi all, I got one of Dr Klietmann's old books on insignia, but one of the captions under a photo is confusing. Several photos all have the line: "Photographie nach original" What does that mean? Photographs after an original? A full description Brustkrez fur marinepfarrer Photographie nach original Thanks agian for the help!
    2. Hi guys! Unfortunately with the chaplain's photo I posted, there is no name attached It kills me when you see something this neat, but cant trace it! Lost to history I guess..... Chris, that is just not nice! I actually got a great laugh at your post, post some photos of the book! Is it complete with all chaplains or just Bavarians/Prussians?
    3. Here is a break from the norm, 1870 IC2 Non-combatant awarded to Evangelistic Field Chaplain
    4. Molke's IC document from the Kaiser for the defat of France in 1870? (that would be tough to beat--and afford)
    5. ...........................looks left....................looks right................. COME ON CHRIS!! WHAT IS IT ? ?
    6. Hear Hear! This is one of those items that doesnt fit any other category but unique..esspecially since, if I remember correctly, Chris had the name and service record of the owner! Really outstanding! I may have some photos of this wrapper on an old computer (from the present owner) lemmie see if I can find them
    7. Love that jacket and the history! I dont ever remeber Bill Showing it on his site...prolly went under the table like that FHQ wrapper you sent him
    8. Outstanding gesture! I never realized just how prized these badges were to U-boat men until I read Steel Boat, Iron Hearts by Hans Goebeler. He makes a point several times to describe the feeling of earning and wearing the U-boat badge, and how such an accomplishment was seen by the general public. Great job Gordon!
    9. Thank you for the comments guys. Paul, these are all the navy tabs I have. The early version are still attached to the Probe Tag as is the wreath
    10. Here is an interesting one, Mayol de Lupe, still in his Heer uniform. He was the Pfarrer for French vollenteers in the WSS--specifically the Charlemagne division
    11. diplomatic pin Sorry for the horrible scans! I am trying to upgrade my scanning ability and it does not seem to be working
    12. Dr Fritz Menshausen was assigned as the counselor to the German Embassy in WWII. He was second under the German Diplomat to the Vatican, Diego von Bergen; and after the later lost interest in his post, became the Nazi voice to the Vatican. He was instrumental in silencing Vatican Radio several times, and directly threatening Monsignor Montini and the Vatcian if the anti-German radio broadcasts did not stop. Fritz was also instrumental in the forming of the Conrodiate with the Holy See, and the formation of a German Catholic Field Bishop.
    13. An outstanding Diplomatic pass! So if I read right, this man would have been the atache to the Royal family/court of Italy. The Senior diplomat to the Vatican was Diego von Bergen, who seems to have had a very bad distaste for the Nazi pollicy to the church and to the Vatican in general. I'll post another of these in a second -- I actually have one to your fellows co-workers
    14. Does anyone still get Kube's auction catalouges? Do they have a web address? What is the ratio of good to bad stuff there? Thanks all in advance!
