Organisational Badges To WARLORD
Duzig replied to Koj's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Organisational Membership Badges & Tinnies
Hello, Very nice looking items Florian. Is the second non portable the service medal for the Bavarian industrial league? I would imagine the documents would be harder to obtain than the medals itself? Again thanks for letting us see these items. It's extra nice to have items like this passed down from family members. I know it would thrill me surely. Duzig(Bill) -
Hello all, I just acquired this item lately & was wondering if I can get some info regarding it. I don't usually collect poletops(?) and stuff so any info regarding it would be helpful including value and originality. It is about 8 inches wide by 8 inches high made of brass no markings on it as far as I can see and am I correct in that the eagle shown is a first style political eagle? thanks for any help Duzig(Bill)

Hello, Joe, no problem, I wouldn't want to run afoul of the law or embroil the forum either. One of the reasons I still inquire about the pin is because of the very reason you stated. As of yet no one I"ve spoken to has seen the pin,and niemann who shows all the stickpins for other items, and lists value of stickpin etc, does not do that nor even mention a stickpin for plaque in his book. Also because at some point if it does exist I'd like to aquire one perhaps. Again I appreciate all the help you have provided regarding this and other items. Bill

Hello, Joe I thank you again for that info that you supplied me on the other forum regarding the stickpin. I was just wondering if anyone has actually seen this award with mentioned stickpin because I have not seen one anywhere, even in niemanns book, nor does he mention stickpin which I thought was a little odd. Bill

Hello, Yes the Gold one has been denazified at least on the award itself. You can still see the impression of the reichnahrstand insignia on the inside lid though. Perhaps the picture doesn't really show it well. I don't have too much information on this item either, just what I have found at different sites and forums. And as I've mentioned there is supposedly a stickpin with same figures as plaque but I have never seen one either. None is shown in Niemanns book and none listed for it in his book either. Hello, Here's a few pics of plaque. The silver version I have has as I said a stickpin for reichnahrstand organization. Whether this is correct or not I do not know,I have heard that there is a stickpin with design of horses but I haven't seen one yet so I was just wondering. Again thanks and I look forward to any other info. Duzig(Bill)

Hello all, I usually don't come into the great war forum much but saw the term poilu and it caught my eye. I have two plates which I believe make reference to "poilu" during ww1. I have inserted a picture of one plate, and the wording on reverse of plate says "Le Poilu en Alsace et Lorraine" In translation I get the definition of poilu as "hairy",is this correct? To youngsters growing up now, vietnam is almost long past history, world war 2 and world war 1 unfortunately I think will soon become ancient history for most. Hope my post of the plate fit in with the discussion. Duzig(Bill)

Hello all, I put this in the general awards forum then thought it might get more replies here. I was wondering if anyone can supply any info about the stickpin that comes with the Honor plaque for horse breeding. I have silver and gold versions of the plaque but only the silver has a stickpin with it and it is a stickpin for the reichsnahrstand organization and supposedly(?) the correct stickpin would be a miniature of the plaque itself. If these do indeed exist I imagine they are quite scarce? Funny thing about it is that in Niemanns price book(the only reference I know of that shows this plaque) while he shows the case & plaque, and there is clearly an area in case for stickpin,it is not shown nor does he mention anything about the stickpin(price etc) for this plaque while for all other items with miniatures or stickpins mention of them is made. Just wondering if anyone has seen or has one of these stickpins. Thanks for any help or info. Duzig(Bill)

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what markings should be on NSKOV aluminum poletops. Also were any of the NSKOV items rzm'd? If not mistaken I think any NSKOV badges one sees do not have any rzm marking, would that follow for all NSKOV stuff, including poletops? I recently picked up an item that I really didn't find out info about beforehand and am now having second doubts as to it's originality so just like to make sure in case I decide it must be returned. Again thanks for any info Duzig(Bill)

Hello, Very impressive piece Florian! It never ceases to amaze me how beautiful and artistic many of the non portable, organizational & political items are. Would love to see other items along these lines. Duzig(Bill) -
Porcelain Table Medal
Duzig replied to Greg Walden's topic in Germany: Third Reich: Uniforms, Headwear, Insignia & Equipment
Hello, Beautiful item, especially nice that it has the case to it also! While there are porcelain table medals I would imagine that there are quite a few less of the porcelain medals as opposed to those made out of other materials. I can think of two or three offhand that are made of porcelain, one if I remember correctly, the 1934 Party day medallion, looks very much like the one you show except the outer ring is reddish and the eagle is gold colored. Another one if memory serves me correct is for the national theatre opening which also i believe is along the design shown on yours. Very nice item you have there! Duzig(Bill)
