Ed_Haynes Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 While we have a lot of overlapping threads on the herder badges (J 01 through J 03) -- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5229 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=8939 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=8596 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5055 -- and even some attention to the ranger-herder badge (J 04) -- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6053 http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=5055 -- most of the other agriculture badfges have enjoyed no focused attention. Given the importance of agriculture in the Mongolian economy, maybe they deserve their own focused thread?

Dolf Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 J 19 - The Outstanding Collective Farmer. This one has on the reverse a kind of mint mark with what I believe to be four Russian capital letters. A kind of "3" (a "S", I believe), then a kind of "r" (a "G" I believe), then another "3" and finaly a kind of "Y" (a "U" if I'm not wrong). Too small for my scanner to scan... Dolf

Ed_Haynes Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 (edited) I am not sure what to do with collective farm badges. While an argument could be made for putting them into the swamp that is the world of the provincial/aimag badges, they'd be lost there. The aimag badges need a good sorting out, someday, soon, . . . . For the time being, I'll put a few new collective farm badges up here, subject to future recataloging? Here follow a few NIBs -- well not actually "NIBs", more like "CWBs" ("Confirmed with Battushig"):J NIB 03 -- Battsengel Soum, Ulaan Tug (Red Flag) Collective Farm Edited November 18, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
