Gordon Craig
[attachmentid=54879]Gents,We had a post a week or so ago re BW uniforms with bullion accessories. I think we need one on Bundeswehr uniforms with cuffbands. Here is the only one I have with me at the moment. It is for a colonel in the Geschwader Steinhoff . This uniform captured my interest for two reasons. 1- It has a really nice bullion cuffband and 2-Geschwader Steinhoff flew the MiG 29s the Bundesluftwaffe took over from the East German air force. Anyone else have tunics with BW cuffbands to post?Cheers,Gordon

Paul R
The Wachbatallion tunic is the same one that is available at the local military surpus shop, sans shoulder boards and awards. How much is a reasonable price for such a tunic?
SteveL
Paul, my "Wachbatallion" tunic is dated 1982, and is a normal quality service tunic, with normal attached shoulder straps (i.e. sewn on to a tab)......the tunic you are talking about have been around in surplus stores for a couple of years now at least, at around $10-$20, they are superior in quality to the older jackets, such as mine, they are parade quality, they come from around the early to mid 1990's...and as such have hand embroidered armshield, bullion cufftitle and removable shoulder straps, as you state, the shoulder straps are always missing ! there lies the problem, the shoulder straps are nigh on impossible to obtain........The new BW service tunic does have removable shoulder straps, they are expensive ! at the moment. Prost ! Steve. Edited April 30, 2012 by SteveL
