Flak88 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) Gents,Just got this mint Flak tunic from Albert - you may have seen it before. Just gorgeous! It is a 1937 tunic to a Bavarian major and it has space for a LONG ribbon bar that will be difficult to find. I am sure the one award was a 1914 EK1, so that is on, and for fun I put a flak badge on too. It was probably something else, but who knows - what do you guys think? Thanks to Hankmeister for helping me get a USAF shirt, and that is a black East German Navy tie! I think they look great!Anyway, bad light this evening and crappy flash, but for now I stuck it in front of a painting of the heavy Flak Siebel ferry my Opa was on and put an American pilot with UK wings next to it. Gonna have to find a nice officer's cap too.Marc Edited September 28, 2006 by Flak88
Guest Rick Research Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Is the tunic label named, or just for a tailor in Bavaria?
Flak88 Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) Rick,Good question, and I guess i am assuming too much. It is named to Major Josef Vierbacher, and was made by Karl Thon im Bamberg.Marc Edited September 28, 2006 by Flak88
Flak88 Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 And here you can see how long the ribbon bar was!Marc
