When I get a moment, I'll post some items there. In addition to my posthumous award collection (which has just grown again - thanks Gilbert!) I also have a large collection of Soviet death notices as well. Some of those are nothing short of sobering....

Here's the thread were my particular Russian KIA was posted. As Dave mentions, it has now found a new home , but perhaps Dave will be able to add to what we know so far about the brave KIA tanker.

I have posted my Soviet KIA over on the other thread (well, a link to the place where it is presented in greater detail). Personally, I get confused by parallel threads and cross/double postings. But, then, I confuse easily.

the general idea is.....

Folks tend to stick to their specialist forums.... someone collecing W2 German may never see your group posted here in Easten Block...

Buuuut... the "Themes" section is crosses borders, a thread can have all countries and all epochs... It increases the exposure to folks who would usually not see certain things because they are in sections they dont visit.
