Here's a better picture (Thanks Imperial Quest). No it is not a brass core although these are often mistaken as such. The core is magnetic and I think it may just be a copper plated iron. Anyone have any opinions on this? This is a great looking piece and one of my favorites for sure.

Here is an updated display with a new case and a few new pieces. I've added 3 Imperial EKs, 2 Imperial minis and 2 1939 EK2's. They are marked 27 and 55. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Stomper. That is one of my favorite pieces. It's in awesome shape, the cross included. Just got a 1914 EK2 today marked S.
