DavidM Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 HelloI've just received this 57 EK1. It is of three piece construction and has what appears to be a war time pin, hinge and catch assembly. The frame is of good quality, with well silvered rims.As usual, any comments or observations appreciated.
DavidM Posted November 25, 2006 Author Posted November 25, 2006 HelloI've had chance to compare this to an L/11 marked 57 EK1 that I have, and I'd say they match. So I reckon this is an unmarked 57 Deumer piece.
joe campbell Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 can't say one way or the other RE: maker, but certainly agree you've got a '57er with leftover frame.very nice!joe
Chris Boonzaier Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Hard to see on the photo, but this was also a very, very nice WW2 frame with 57 core...http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=12594
Dave B Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Yeah I'd say a Deumer going by the catch,it's usually a tight "pigs tail" but yours looks like it has seen some use and has opened up a bit.Nice cross.
Grant Broadhurst Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Yep i agree , that,s a nice early left over parts Deumer !
