The "Struggle Against Bandits" I would guess refers to hunting down and eliminating opposition inside Cuba to the Communist regime.

Just got this. Ironic given the origins of the Fidelistas that they should have derided their underground opposition in the same terms as had been applied to them....

The "staybrite" type finish makes it hard to get non-reflecting images.

Somehow I don't think this one is going to make the cut when the regime changes.

As governments and regimes change, as they all do over time, vocabulary items like 'bandit' shift. I'd not advise holding one's breath for mammoth change in Cuba, though.

I disagree-after Fidel goes, I give it no more than a couple of years before it implodes. It'll go in a weekend-buoyed by inevitable political liberalizations and the prospect of US style wealth in the offing. Everyone dreams of living like their cousins in Miami.

I'd bet money on it.
