I haven't spotted any section intended for international awards (NATO, UN etc.), so I am posting it here. My question is as follows: does anybody know the proper placement of NATO MSM on the British and Canadian uniform? OK, I know that on the British uniform NATO medals are normally worn together with other campaign medals, on the Canadian uniform they follow Canadian campaign medals and UN medals. But the MSM is different, as it is awarded for merit rather than for participation in a particular mission, so logically it should precede other NATO medals. Are British and Canadian military authorized to wear NATO MSM at all?

Thanks for posting this, Lukasz. At present this "Rest of the World" section is pretty chaotic and, if I could, I'd do some organization.

These NATO awards are interesting, and rarely discussed. So many just seem to snarl at them and let it go at that. Thanks again.

    Hi Lukas

These are the only NATO medals on Canada's list of medals and awards

    http://www.gg.ca/honours/op/index_e.asp

    NATO MEDALS

*North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Medal for the Former Yugoslavia (1992-2002)

*NATO Medal for Kosovo (1999- )

*NATO Medal for the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (2001-02)

*Article 5 NATO Medal for Operation ?Eagle Assist? (2001-02)

*Article 5 NATO Medal for Operation ?Active Endeavour? (2001- )

*Non-Article 5 NATO Medal for operations in the Balkans (2003- )

The list has not been updated since 1998, and might not be included if no Canadians have been awarded the decoration

Thanks Dave, that was exactly what I needed. Interesting, that just like with UN medals, only one medal is authorized for wearing, any subsequent being denoted by star devices.
