The badge second class had a white cross. But this might be the star Rene is after:
Gerd Becker Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Oh, thanks for clearing that up. It looked to me like a neck-order, so i assumed its a 2nd class. Thanks againGerd
Carol I Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Here is an image of a class II set of the Bulgarian Order of St. Alexander from the recent UBS auction.
sturm Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 thank you all for your help! the link from ubs help a little bid, but i searching how often this set awarded.
Carol I Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Up until 1908 there were 11 awards of the Bulgarian Order of St. Alexander 2nd class with surmounting swords. During the same period there were only 4 similar awards for the 1st class and 12 for the 3rd class. Who knows how many were awarded after 1908?
Carol I Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 To add just one thing, the numbers above refer only to the awards with the "princely crown" (not the "royal crown" that appears in all the images posted this far on this thread).
sturm Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 thank you carol I it hlps a little bid. i searching the whole awards from th e 2 classbest regardssturm
