Leatherneck
Hello, Here's my example. I've not been able to lock down a maker, since this does not have the die flaws of a "B" type S&L RK. Can someone please help shed some light?Cheers,Howard Kelley
Leatherneck
Front detail. If better photos are need, please advise. (Or Different angles, etc.)My knowledge of RK's is slim to none. Cheers,Howard

Laurence Strong
Here's mine which looks alot like howards. I know this is an S&L (Actually if you look at the second post at the start of the thread...) To quote Gordon "A "transitional type" with early style well finished 800 silver frame but with second type core with convex oakleaves". A different set of Eichenlaub's on this, and the case is not original to the medal.
Laurence Strong
Cross obverse. I think - though I have not been able to confirm it - but it is featured on pg 421 of the "Iron Cross of 1939"

Laurence Strong
Silver mark and the ring. You can still see some frosting in the valleys of the ribbing. Edited December 22, 2006 by Laurence Strong

Richard Gordon
Here's one of my sets. This is the type commonly found today but I dug out my fine modelers files and mini tools and removed all the crap to clean up the outline.Rich
Gordon Williamson
There are still some nice early 57s out there. This one came in the original very early 57 case with nice equally early postwar ribbon (non-glow)
Gordon Williamson
Note the 800 mark is on the lower arm.
Leatherneck
Hello Laurence, Nice cross. But not a complete match. My top loop drops into the frame. A feature normally found on the later '57 issued items. Here's a better photo of the "800" mark and the top loop. Thank you,Howard
