dond Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I first thought is "Floch" based upon the reverse set up.
stevo4361 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Agree with Don, Sure does have a lot of "Floch-like" characteristics, and doesn't match to good Otto Schickle crosses. Sorry man, don't like this one!Kind Regards,Steve
Laurence Strong Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) Are the L15 EK's supposed to be the same as a L15 KvK with the oval base? Edited February 17, 2007 by Laurence Strong
DavidM Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) HelloSorry, but in my opinion a definite fake. The beading doesn't match to any known originals, it lacks the crispness in appearance associated with original ones, and although the reverse is a reasonable facsimile of an original, it still doesn't match. The hinge looks good, but the pin isn't long enough and the catch from this maker is wrong, and set to high up the back. Apparently the way to tell the Floch type fakes of these from the originals is that all known originals have a small dimple in the centre of the upper arm, against the outer edge of the beading. Laurence, these EKs, as far as I know, don't have the oval plate as seen on same makers KVK's. Edited February 17, 2007 by DavidM
Motorhead Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 The first one is definitely a fake.Bills L/15 is one of the rarest you can get-I haven't seen many of them the last few years!Micha
