Takc Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Yeah, I still don't trust anything from east of the Oder. Old habits die hard I guess.adam, i am not so dangerous.I am rather "trustable", you know because I completely have no interest, moral or financial, to fool anybody. In these circumstances, the mistrust to me is not my problem, it is the problem of people who do not trust me Yes, I do not know all to be a know-it-all militaria professor, but I never fool anyone and conduct myself honestly. However, very straightforwarded, so you are not obliged to like my way to communicate It's your right
AJHaslett Posted March 10, 2007 Author Posted March 10, 2007 A "sheesh" and a deleted post. Interesting Don't worry you won't hurt my feelings lads...so don't feel you have to moderate your input.Takc, oh I am sure you are...I've just known Rick a lot longer, don't take it too personally. Had a few bad dealings with people from the East and I guess it's hard to wipe the slate clean sometimes, so to speak. Apologies if you felt offended.
RichieC Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 (edited) A "sheesh" and a deleted post. Interesting Don't worry you won't hurt my feelings lads...so don't feel you have to moderate your input. My "deleted post" Adam, was my attempt to add an Emoticon (as an attachment) I like to use that is not hosted here, as I thought your phrase "Yeah, I still don't trust anything from east of the Oder" was quite sentimental and brought a smile to my face. An old GI I used to know said something like it to me when I told him I was courting a Russian girl.Sheesh... Edited March 11, 2007 by RichieC
AJHaslett Posted March 11, 2007 Author Posted March 11, 2007 Hi Ritchie,Indeed...I fondly look back on the days when we feared Red Hordes pouring thru the Fulda Gap, rather than Islamists flying airplanes into buildings and attacking people with cowardly IEDs and other such gutless things. At least then we knew who was who in the zoo.
