JimZ Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Would Oberfeldwebel in flakartillerie have worn similar Cap? And was this used all year round? Jim PS - I'll post some pics of mine regarding an OFW uniform and other group items that I have in a months time when we are re-united.
Bob Lyons Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 Hi JimThis type of cap was only to be worn during the designated Summer months, (they were also worn in tropical regions all year round), but the normal blue top cap was worn during the cooler months in Europe as per regulations. Yes an Oberfeldwebel could have worn this type of cap, it was available to all ranks up to officer grades, officers had a slightly different type of cap, see the two examples I posted here as well. The blue top visor cap was also used during the Summer months as well.Look forward to seeing your tunic when you get the time to post it.Best wishesBob
