Riley1965 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Gentlemen,I need your help to identify this lanyard. Doc
Gerd Becker Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Doc,that looks like a fourrage. The experts for French (or Romanian?) awards will be able to tell you to which order it belongs to. Or you make a search for "fourrage" and you will find, what you are looking for.Gerd
Riley1965 Posted April 6, 2007 Author Posted April 6, 2007 Thanks Gerd!! I couldn't remember how to spell fourrage so i used Lanyard Doc

Or you make a search for "fourrage" and you will find, what you are looking for.The colours of the fourragere seem to be red and green. None of the Romanian fourrageres had green in them according to the book by Safta et al on Romanian war decorations.
Guest Rick Research Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 American unit citation version for a Belgian Croix de Guerre?

I obviously didn?t read the thread about Romanian fourrages good enough.best,Gerd
Carol I Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Thanks for the correction, Carol. I obviously didn?t read the thread about Romanian fourrages good enough. It was no correction Gerd, but only pointing out the differences. Besides the colours there are also differences in the shape of the metal pencil.
oli4vercammen Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 It isn't a Belgian one, other methode of loops, I think it is a furagere for the French TOE medal.
Hendrik Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I think it is a furagere for the French TOE medal.Wrong colours for the TOE I believe ... I'm more inclined to think it's a French Croix de Guerre (WW2) fourrag?re.Cheers,Hendrik
