EK 1939 Is this an Ubergrosse EK2

Does this look like an Ubergrosse cross to you ? I've asked for better pictures of the cross and this is the best one availbale at the moment

I thought the date looked a tad to big from a couple of examples in a book , but also read that perhaps there is a link to several makers of these.

Would 70 quid for an EK in this condition be ok to pay as well, if an Ubergrosse ? I have to ask I'm afraid, because I'm out of touch with prices on these things

From that pic I'd say it was likelier just a "24."

Hi Marcus

The Ubergrosse is immediately identifiable by the flaring out of the rim on the left hand 6 O'clock arm.

(e.g. - 'it gets wider as it progresses from centre to bottom'

You can pretty clearly see this effect on mine...
