Paul C
I pick up this three place bar several years ago. It is rather nice with the Bayern St. Micheal, 1870 NK and Centennial. The construction is beautifull and has a pre-1914 pin back system. I was wondering how rare the Bayern St. Micheal medal is. Any comments are appreciated. Gerd Becker
All awards of the Bavarian St. Michael Order are rare, the Medal is the most "common" from these. But still, the Medal is rare. I have seen maybe 10 of them in groups the last 5 years.Nice bar with the Non-combattant 1870/71 Medal Edited June 12, 2007 by Gerd Becker

ccj
What merited the award of the St Michael medal or order?
militaria0815
What merited the award of the St Michael medal or order? The lower grades of the order including the medals often were awarded shortly before the civil servant, officer, policeman or NCO retired.
