Bryan Posted September 18, 2007 Author Posted September 18, 2007 I can understand why you couldn't choose only one! They are all very nice orders!
new world Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 My favourite from my collection :Walter, please post reserve of Partisan Star 1st and 2nd class.William

Bryan Posted September 19, 2007 Author Posted September 19, 2007 Is it normal that they are not marked???
new world Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I was concerned about the wreath on 1st class - it looks too thin. And now lack of markings and serial number - not very good sign...Is it normal that they are not marked???
Bryan Posted September 20, 2007 Author Posted September 20, 2007 I was concerned about the wreath on 1st class - it looks too thin. And now lack of markings and serial number - not very good sign...I didn't know they are making "fake" partisan orders !?!? Or is it something else ... ?
walter483 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I was worried too but then I've heard - from a respectable yugoslav militaria collector and author of several manuals on this theme - that Ikom Zagreb has made a series of partisan star without any markings.
Valuk Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I'm still of the opinion that the 1st class is a fake. The enamel looks like epoxy resin and not enamel. But I hope for you that's original
new world Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I didn't know they are making "fake" partisan orders !?!? Or is it something else ... ?There have been fakes going back as far as 2003. I remember seing a set with fake 1st and 2nd classes, I hope I still have pics soewhere.William
Christian Zulus Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Dear Walter, please, could you shoot some close-up pics of the Partisan 1cl and post them here at GMIC-YU - many thanks .What we can see already now at the small & bad pics is not the "classical" 1cl type and also the colour of the gold wash looks a bit strange (besides the far too thin wreath).Best regards Christian

It is an IKOM version. Several important collectors in Belgrade had the IKOM versions which didn't come up on the market all that often. I am sure once Ranko is on his feet again he could weigh in. Marko, his son, is also pretty knowledgable. Regards. Paul.

new world Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Can someone from former Yugoslavia confirm hypothesis that these start are IKOM made? Also, the absense on serial numbers is still a question - why there isn't any on 1st and 2nd classes, while 3rd class IKOM seem to have serial numbers engraved?William
walter483 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 A respective yugoslav militaria collector from Serbia saw both of my stars.Since he wrote a few manuals and catalogues about yugoslav orders and medals, I trusted him on his word, when he guaranteed me that the stars are ORIGINAL IKOM PRODUCT.

They must be super rare, as very few people ever saw them and there are no images available.Would you please post pics of the screplates for your stars?William Edited October 8, 2007 by new world
