    Partisan Star 3cl :jumping:

    Gentlemen,

in terms of design & beauty the Soviet made Partisan Stars 3cl are my favorite medals in my YU-collection.

I think, the the 3cl is more "classic" & "military" in design, as the 1cl or 2cl - guns are guns :D .

I also regard the Croatian sculptor Antun Augustincic (1900 - 1979) http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16619 , who designed the Partisan Stars, as an outstanding artist.

As with the Soviet Order of Glory http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?s=&showtop...st&p=184997 , I love the very pure & classic design of the Partisan Star, more or less in "Art Deco"-style.

    That's my beauty and me:

    Best regards

So far, this. I have (futile?) hopes of upgrading some day to its Big Brother.

What do you consider the big brother of this award?

Do you mean the "Order of Hero of Socialist Labor" !!!

Good luck by finding one. There are only 114 out there!

Well, I got a 1st type Mongolian Hero Star and only six of those were issued. You gotta hope, right?

    Dear Ed,

I guess, that you have missed at the 15th of june in Vienna to get a YU-HSL for mere EUR 4.800,- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=19027 :( .

It might be, that in some years we have to put one zero more to the price tag of that order  .

My advice: If you might get a YU-HSL - incl. all documents + from a prominent & communist comrade - for much less, than USD 10.000,-, then buy it now.

    Best regards

They are available if you are willing to pay the price, which was bout $5,500 last time I was offered one.

There were 114 awarded pieces and some un-awarded ones.

This is for me one of the most beautiful orders from the past WWII period

That's true - and I guess, that the "Order of Freedom" is the most beautiful one (at least, the most expensive one ;) ) ....

    Best regards

    Christian

BTW: I think, that at least one "Freedom" is in a private collection  ?

    Milan,

never never feel regrets, you can't change the past!

You did what you thought was the best at the that moment and it looks like you are certainly happy with your royal collection.

    William

I know I know please do not :violent::violent: me

But I had to focus my collection a little bit and I had a opportunity to enlarge my YU Kingdom collection with a couple of excellent beauties !

    Regards

Milan, is there a place where I can see your YU Kingdom collection? I don't anything about YU Kingdom, so I'd be interested to see those beauties. :)
