Ostfront Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) And this is my new order of the red star. I think, seriall number is 319 488? I'm I right? I'll also ask a few questions for this one, is everything OK with this piece and what is your best guess about awarding time and place? Edited August 17, 2007 by Ostfront
Ostfront Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) Do you see them now? Edited August 17, 2007 by Ostfront
Paul R Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Yes, I can see them now!! Nice one! Are you getting it researched?
Ostfront Posted August 17, 2007 Author Posted August 17, 2007 (edited) Yes! But first I wanted to ask about originality and about the serial number.Howewer I think there may be a chance that this one was never awarded as it's in almost mint condition. Look at the screwplate, it's like new. Something, I would not expect from a 1943 award.Yes, I can see them now!! Nice one! Are you getting it researched? Edited August 17, 2007 by Ostfront
Guest Rick Research Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 September or October 1943.That appears to be a nice original silver screw-plate that has simply been polished.
Bill Garvy Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 (edited) Yes, it's Nr. 319488.I took the liberty of lightening up your picture a bit so the number appears more clearly. . . Edited August 19, 2007 by Bill Garvy
Ostfront Posted August 19, 2007 Author Posted August 19, 2007 OK thanks for your help. I'll request the research for this piece and post it when it arrives.
