Paul C Posted August 17, 2007 Share Posted August 17, 2007 A picked up this bar a while back and until recently have had no chance to trace it. I just picked up the 1918 German Reich Handbuch. I found one entry so far that is close. The Prussian War Aid and Red Cross 3 is missing from the entry and the person had a KO3. If his KO3 was upgraded to a KO2 then I have 4 of the 6. The name is Pilger. Does anyone have any more info on this guy. There is a Karl Pilger listed in the DOA but he has a higher award fo RAO. Also what is this department and what did the guy do? If his KO3 was upgraded to a KO2 then I have 4 of the 6.Is it possible (and is it likely ???) that the crown order was upgradet to KO2 and the REO is still 4th class? I don't know, but I'd wonder ... Looking at the other entries on that page, you see that the standard progression for a Geheimer Oberregierungsrat was KO3 -> RAO3mSchl -> KO2. It seems Pilger was just in line for his RAO3mSchl.
