Guest Darrell
Finally came in the mail today. Nice mid 30's DRL (w/o Swastika). Still has much of the silver finish intact Obverse:

Guest Rick Research
This is a particularly nice example of this unmarked coke bottle pin type-- usually only cut out outside the letters and not inside as well.Since these are ONLY found "partially pierced" in this DRL swastika-less type, I've always thought they were low bidder rush jobs around the time of the 1936 Olympics. This is the first one I've seen completely cut out--a new sub variant! Gerd Becker
Nice one, Darrel What do these go for nowadays, also the gold and bronze version? The version without swastika was very underappreciated for obvious reasons. But though, they seem to become scarcer lately. A lot of people, who disregarded them in the past, are now interested in them. I think, its an important badge of the area. It was often worn proudly additionally to Combat-Awards(especially WW2) and obviously had a certain esteem to the soldiers.Gerd Edited September 9, 2005 by Gerd Becker

They are EXTREMELY hard to find. The "real" ones not made in 1957.

Guest Darrell
Hi Paul,Many think that the one's with the "tip" where the Swastika is on the 1937-45 pieces are Post War. The below picture shows this "tip".

Guest Darrell
Well the Bronze DRL w/o Swastika arrived a few days ago. It matches the Silver one above for reverse hardware. This one however, has the usual "non-Cutout" features that you usually see with this maker.Obverse:
