Bryan Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Ok guys, I would like to request your help. Where can I find the Order of Precedence from Yugoslavian orders and medals. I need to know what's the highest Yugoslavian order, than the second, third, fourth and so on ...For example if you look the Soviet Union you have the Order of Victory that goes to the top and the Hero of the Soviet Union order and so on.I know that the highest Yugoslavian order is the Order of Freedom, but what comes next. Please any help would be appreciate! I have no information to start with. Is there a book that has this information?

Christian Zulus Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I think I maybe found my own answer! http://www.medals.lava.pl/yu/yu2.htmDear Bryan,I think, that's the correct listing .Does anyone know the order of precedence in the 1990s, the Milosevic-years ?I assume, that the list is rather similar, but with some additions in the old royal style ...Best regards Christian
File21 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Here's another listhttp://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odlikovanja_SFRJAll the best Filip
Eric Gaumann Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Bumping this old thread up because I am interested in Yugo precedence. Bryan's first link is no longer working but I made a list from the second link. Here it is, albeit incomplete: 1) The Order of the Yugoslav Star 2) The Order of Freedom 3) The Order of the People's Hero 4) The Order of the Hero of Socialist Labor 5) The Order of National Liberation 6) The Order of the Military Flag (Order of the War Banner) 7) The Order of the Yugoslav flag 8) The Order of the Partisan Star 9) The Order of the Republic 10) The Order of Merit to the People 11) The Order of Brotherhood and Unity 12) The Order of the People's Army 13) The Order of Labor 14) The Order of Military Merit 15) Order of Bravery Help? PS: A very useful Yugoslavian awards page: http://www.sammler.ru/database/index.php?cat=407.
BalkanCollector Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Here's a link to a great chart of Yugoslav awards: http://www.jugoslovanska-odlikovanja.com/index-jo.html Click on "Sezam odlikovanj SFRJ". It's in Slovene but it should be much of a problem since it has ribbons shown for every medal and order.
Eric Gaumann Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Super, thanks! I see they have a forum there as well; any better or worse than here?
BalkanCollector Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 It's a good forum for people who know south Slavic languages. I don't have an account there but I sometimes take a glimpse.
