Steve campbell Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Here's another new one. This is one I've wanted for awhile. It's a CD800, with the CD800 marking all in one line as opposed to the CD being above the 800.
Steve campbell Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Here's the rear. I like the fat pins on these.
Steve campbell Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Finally, here's the maker mark. As you can see it is upside down for some reason. Is this seen often?
Steve campbell Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks. CD800's are nice for sure.
nesredep Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Very nice, Steve! RichHello!I agree. RegardsNesredep
Steve campbell Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 It didn't take long to get a few responses to this cross, unlike my poor old KAG I posted a few days ago
Motorhead Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 That's the thing with the variations-for us they are everything, for others it's just a "CD800".......The most collectors are focussed on the"spectacular" makers like Godet with hooks,KMST ect......but how many "JWS" 1st class have you seen? or the variation with the "800" stamp at the catch? Who is really interested in both core variations of the maker "square"? The names of these collectors I can count on one hand......Anyway-this variation is on Nr2 when we are talking about CD800 stampings-just the one stamped at the pin is harder to get(not to forget the 2 hinge variations )Micha
