Chris Boonzaier Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Introduced in the 3rd Reich era but for actions in WW1... what spoils an imperial bar more than an Ehrenkreuz? How I sigh and say... "If only THAT was not on it :-( "...But that is one (of many) collectors opinions.... the ugly boring medal hides a lot of history... and the documents hide it even more....If only the guys units were on it instead of what he was doing in the early 30's....But... it seems that in 1935 the medal was not looked down on... and objectively it should not be, it symbolizes horrors we cannot imagine....Here is Hans Fleischhackers HK doc...
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 An an invitation to have it presented to him...
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 Often overlooked are the very diverse stamps on these and the research potential for the signatures... somtimes high party and police officials.
