KDVR Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Hello friendsWho knows something about this cross:- Ribbon?- original or copy?- Which German state issued it?- approximate price rating?Thank you
VtwinVince Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 back viewMecklenburg-Schwerin Friedrich-Franz Kreuz 2. Klasse. Seems that this example has a strange finish, as they are usually gold colored.
seeheld Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 (edited) Friedrich Franz Cross 2. Class is completly wrong!!!! The Friedrich Franz Cross is an other award! This Cross is the Milit?r-Verdienst-Kreuz 2. Klasse.Usually the ribbon is lightblue with yellow/red stripes by side. (for combattants), For non-combattants the ribbon is red with lightblue/yellow stripes by side.Your pictures are not good enough to say is an original or a copy, but my first impression is not so good.Best regardsSeeheld Edited December 15, 2007 by seeheld
KDVR Posted December 15, 2007 Author Posted December 15, 2007 Hello SeeheldMany thanks for the information. Is it possible to post a picture in a better quality than mine of a complete medal (with ribbon). What's the price for such a cross? Thanks again and best wishesKDVR
Ulsterman Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 what's the size and weight of this piece?I am wondering of this is the 'zinc" version that someone has been overzealous about polishing/cleaning (shudder)?
