hunyadi
Very nice! Was this the one at the Bedo auction??? I know that there are many of the 'museum' copies around, though this does not look to be one for sure - I wonder if you have had the chance to inspect it closely? Any makers marks?Congratualtions! A very hard itmes to find indeed!
Anatoly13
Yes,from this auction. I hope this wreath is original - the wellknown expert helped me.There is "1948" as you can see on reverse only. hunyadi
When I compared this one to one of the known musuem copies, you can tell the difference in quality! I wonder if there is a MAP or PV park somewhere on it? But dont try to remove the ribbon to find out!!! Congratulations again - another nice piece to a fantastic collection. Gordon Craig
Anatoli,Congratulations on acquiring this piece. I was outbid for it at the Bedo auction but I was unwilling to go any higher and the other bidder was. When Charles and looked this item over at the preauction viewing it appeared to be much better made than the copies they had on auction. The ribbon was also much darker and more faded. We didn't seen any mint or makers marks on it but we didn't examine it that closely. Be nice to know if it has any visible marks other than the 1948 date on the back.Regards,Gordon
