sebastian Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 On the following picture is presented the badge which arrived in my collection last week. The badge measures about 2 cm in diameter. It seems to be an air defence badge (PVO = protiv vazdu?na odbrana = air defence). But this is the only thing that I can guess about this badge.I will be grateful for any information about it.Regards, Sebastijan

But this is the only thing that I can guess about this badge.Dear Sebastijan, that nicely designed badge looks rather similar in design to the (standard) YU-Guards-badge.That might indicate, that the YU-anti-rocket-troops had automatically a "Guards-level" ?Best regards Christian
SasaYU Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Dragomire, you are wrong.ARJ PVO means: "Artiljerijsko-raketne jedinice protivvazdusne odbrane"or"Artillery-rocket units of anti-air attack defence"
Dragomir Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Dragomire,you are wrong.ARJ PVO means: "Artiljerijsko-raketne jedinice protivvazdusne odbrane"or"Artillery-rocket units of anti-air attack defence"I stand corrected!Your are right, I was wrong.Yours,Dragomir
Bryan Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Is it possible that it is a pre-military school cap badge?
sebastian Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 The same topic?I have the same badge as Anatoly's in my collection. From other collectors I was told that this is badge of anti aircraft protection which was organized in factories and that abbreviation PAZ stays for Protiv Avionska Za?tita = anti aircraft protection. But till now I have no oportunity to verify these informations in literature.Regards
