I recently found some stationary I aquired while in Iraq in 2003. I took it from an office in the Al Qadissiya complex, at the time it was a suspected WMD production facility. I finally got it translated (thanks to Bob for that!!) earlier this week. If anyone has any information about the named individual or a more accurate translation, please let me know.

    Translation -

Top centered - In the name of merciful God

Top right - Arabian Baath Socialist Party - Military Office

Command of Al Husseyin Military Branch

Command of Al Qadissiya Military Part

Command of Ammoriyah Military Part ( troop)

Top left - unity Arabian Nation

    with immortal lission

Bottom - the comrade Jasim Abid Ali Al Juhashi

secretary of the party ( Al Baath party troop)

I'm not sure if I ever posted these or not, but here are some counterfit, un-cut sheets of Saddam 10,000 Dinar notes, five bills to a sheet. The guy doing them did a really good job, hard to tell from the picture though, I had to make it small enough to post.

Thank you for your kind words. The flag is a very special piece to me. I am curious as to why there are not many of these about? I have only seen about 3 other bona-fide flags brought back, that were not ones made specifically for "tourists".

I look forward to seeing your treasures here! Thank you again.

Thought you might like to see this, a friend had it tucked away for a while now, convinced him to let me take pictures of it, I am working on convincing him to part with it!!!!!! It measures almost 3 meters by 2 meters, 105 inches by 73 inches, and is made of some type of silk. It is most definately not a tourist flag.......
